Sarah Mixington - Rockin ("rocker techno")

I've been bothered lately not having a recent mix online, so I just decided to do a one time take on Friday night and hope for the best. This mix is different from the other two I have posted because it is what you will hear from me in a live set. The last one was a little housey and I don't usually play that housey when I'm out.

I like to call a lot of this "rocker techno" - big room beats, layered builds, but not without a little bit of cool down housey goodness at the end. And you've probably noticed that I have included three Misstress Barbara tracks - from her two most recent releases on Iturnem - I'm really digg'n the stuff she's been producing lately.

Also, for those of you in the Toronto area, you can catch me monthly at BOA-REDUX playing in the lounge on the fourth Friday of every month. This is part of Boa's new techno night - Conversion - launching August 27th.

Thanks! Admittedly, even though I'm a techie, my favorite part of the mix is the last four tracks.

I thought this mix was quality, really enjoyed listening to it.

Liked the fact that you switched between tracks so frequently, kept a good energy going through the set. There were a few *slightly* off mixes, but quickly fixed, and some really cool cuts and tricks throughout.

The way that the set winds itself down near the end is really nice too - I love the last tune.

Good stuff.

Thanks - even though I love techno the last three or four tracks are almost my favorites on the cd.

i just want to say that this mix is absolutely crazy! normally i don't listen to techno.. but this mix will get you pumping behind your speakers!!!!
