someone ban this bitch

Posted by Circle Project on Aug-17-2004 17:05:

Thx for the kindness

Which virus?
do you really think we are bad and stupid enough to do the shit u say? u dont know what u are talking about.
people, who answer like u don`t deserve what we have to give. They are not creative at all and very poor. and they are not the ones we use to talk to.

And don`t u know how to protect against
viruses? Every little child knows but u should stop using the internet immediately.

for those among you, who still believe in the good:
we are musicians and we are not putting viruses anywhere. the download contains a flash film with just music and a little toy.

This is no virus. This is actually pretty cool guys. Don't be so quick to write people off without actually giving them a chance...

Posted by Nell on Aug-17-2004 17:59:

posting an EXE fils is suspicious though. there's no way you can really protect against it once you double click it, could do anything!

Don't have to double click. Right click, scan with your favorite AV program...

exe file

....................
o.k. everybody knows to handle exe files carefully. there are many programs to download for free from trustworthy addresses, but controll is always better.
in flash you can export your work not only as so called swf file ( if we publish the file in that format, you have to get the latest flash player from macromedia before you see or hear anything ).
to make it easier, you can export a flash film also as " flash projector "(exe for pc and hqx for mac), which includes the
flash player.

sorry... i just get suspicious when someone signs up to the website and the first post is a link to their site with an exe.

instead of just ASSUMING and being so quick to type a dumb response you could ask questions/check into it first. if you don't know how to protect yourself from virus' thats your own fault. instead of this post being about exposure for this new artist its going to turn into a flame war now.

He apologized in the post above yours. I think it's been resolved. Everyone makes mistakes. The difference is whether or not you own up to it.

virus protection

thx
hm....yes.
in the internet millions of times free progs get downloaded . most of them are exe files. when you download a prog from a website you usually have only small risk
because its quite easy to find out the identity of the publisher/owner. virus senders dont like to get caught too quick.
you can download from our site, there you also find our address.
beside that its necessary to protect yourself with AV progs.( downloadable as exe files as well from many sites, for example here http://www.free-av.de/ )

Wink

kewlness, thx for apologizing.
Actually we believe your answer wasnt really ment as it looked like.
also your post has caused sth positive, because the subject virus is always
important and hopefully everybody now knows that there is no need to be afraid in case of our download.

quite a cool little thing is this can you input your own loops and stuff to let other people play with? one little thing about it too.. i dont know if you can fix it, but the spinning knobs for balance and stuff are very twitchy and hard to get where you want them.

also, its the first time in my long career as a mod here that i have no idea where a thread should live .. humour/cool websites.. promotion forum.. chillout... here..?

sod it, it can stay where it is

Posted by J.L. on Aug-18-2004 17:28:

I didn't mean to cause any trouble or anything... I understand where you are coming from as I am also a producer... Anyways, tried it and thought it was kinda cool with the loops that you did.. good job..

Posted by Circle Project on Aug-18-2004 22:48:

Wink

we are working on other models/skins. also we are going to finish more versions with some more sound.
we`ll put them on our cd and on our site. the ones on the cd will play the sound in 44,1 khz. (by the way sorry for my english)
we already thought about integrating the option to load own loops. maybe sth for the next future. for the moment this little machine is not ment to be more than a toy.

yes, the knobs are not so easy to handle in this version. perhaps a little help with the four spinning knobs:
click on one, while holding the left mouse button move the mouse like 2 cm to the left, then "draw" a circle
around the knob.
balance: click and move the mouse just left or right.
