Dance Music Movies/Films

Hey all

I ran a party recently and invited over some friends as guests. There was around 200 there in this little venue and I DJ'd along with a few other DJ's that I know.

Anyway the reason this topic came up is this... one of my mates was a little worse for wear when leaving the event. He came up to me and could hardly speak he was so wasted, he just gave me this look, pulled out a dvd and said "man, these parties.... its just all about the nod"

He nodded at me and left....

So I was totally bemussed as to what the hell this dude was on about until I watched the flick.....

The film is named Groove and has John Digweed in it....
Now its not the best of movies in the world but the general idea is pretty cool and there are a few wicked scenes and lines in it.

As for Groove I have to say Human Traffic is just awesome. So many nights on the beers have been spent running over classic lines for this flick. Its so close a many peoples weekend out that I guess that's what makes it funny. The soundtrack to the flick has some of the best artists around....

So anyone out there know any other decent clubbing flicks that's worth seeing?

My 3 would be

1. Human Traffic
2. Groove
3. GO

Cheers

Kuff

Groove and Human Traffic still the best, since Go was kinda commercial. I think theres a new movie that came out this year cakked One Perfect Day, which is also supposed to be good, but haven't seen it yet. I love the part in Groove where that amateur Dj gets to meet Digweed and he gives him props.

*lost in daydream*

if you pay close attention to cat in the hat... theres 1 part where the cat and 2 kids go down this tube or what ever and end up in the middle of a party with alot of ppl dancing wearing hats like the cat in the hat... which at that point he looses his hat

and groove is getting a bit on the commercial side as well... human traffic is by far better then groove... i love that movie... i even paid $35 for the damn dvd its so good

Human Traffic is one of the best films that i have seen that represents the use of drugs at a club. It is also a excellent representation of what clubbin was like in the UK at the time of the films release. Its fukin awesome!!!!!

Its very similar to what it was like for me and my friends when we went off clubbin at the weekend.
