James Holden
Hi im a very big fan of james holden...hes one of my fav producers and djs...but im curious..what genre would his style of music be in?
my guess is his productions are progessive trance..and when he spins he has more of a retro style...not sure
help needed!
thanks
I`d call it trance.. but for u genre-hungry people I would describe his style as Progressive, or/and Progressive House... I dont know what he spins though..
Some people say 'Minimal Techno'
his productions used to be a good definition of progressive trance, he used to spin what could be called a good definition of progressive house, but now moved to a weird new style which is still pretty damn cool. doesn't like to be called "progressive" anymore
Yeah, His style has completely changed to a more techy style, Though still good, It will take a while to get used to since many of us were used to his more proggy trance style, But either way, Anything this guy makes, Is nothing short, But amazing.

It is a mix of progressiv trance, acid, techno and electro nowadays.
james holden as created his own
pete tong coined his style "pixie trance"
can't say i agree or disagree with this title
james is just the fecking man, in his own world which i love
James Holden is a monkey wrench in the machinery of the technosnobs. He mixes and matches stylistics like some people wash laundry.
His openmindedness and positive attitude is a foremost example of progressive.
