The kick is really flat and has very little lowend. Also it seems like you lp filtered it?

The kick isn't powerful enough for my tastes but it could work if you have a really punchy bassline to make up for the lowend. I'd also layer a kick with a little bit of highend overtop to fill out the spectrum a little.

hey guys i have a question...i've been workign on layering kicks...one higher...and one lower...maybe tryign 3 or more kicks and eq them...but like...i get i'm missing hte low ends a lot...well when i boost them...the sound gets fuzzy as if the sound is tooo loud...i can't get a powerful kick with out it going too high on the equalizer and getting htat fuzz...i've noticed many artists have powerful kicks but if you play the song loud...it still sounds clean..these masterminds..

It's nice to have a good kick, and I encourage tweaking. But don't forget that it must fit in the overall mix.

It's not because it sounds good on it's own, that it will sound good in the mix. After all, this is the most important, isn't it. People don't go to the club just to hear single kicks huh (although sometimes... I wonder).

I can't really say with cetainty what that kick sounds like unless you gives us another sample(from a track) for us to reference it against
