why bother?

every day, I see more and more people going into stupid/controversial to the point that a mod will close instantly/pointless threads and post 'inb4dalock'

why?

it's really annoying and pointless in itself, I mean it isnt even worth +1 (for those who think postcount is directly proportional to penis size) as it's more often than not in COR

the thing that baffles me the most is that people actually care, and try to UP their post count.... lol to me, that just means you are more of an internet geek loser than everyone else. i just don't get it.

so yea, i'm guilty of starting a lame thread or 2 (in my 2 years of being a member) but it sure as hell wasn't for post count reasons.


i just felt like being goofy or giving someone attention....like vividboy he's just so funny and i think he deserves his own thread every now and then.

in before the lock, when people see a thread with a high chance of bein locked, they like to get their foot in the door before its locked...


usually only the blatantly bored users who post excessive enough as it is, do this.....

it is a bit annoying, and its just part of the whole internet trend.......like intentionally adding ones after exclamations, and saying owned, and various other dumb things that only appeal to the less creative, aka bandwagoners......

Thanks for the enlightemen, I figure this is why one of my threads was closed yesterday, tough I wasnt informed nor warned about anything, wich I find a bit innapropriate..

it was pointless, but heck arent we in the COR ?!? there was no adult content or any offensive material, so if it was to be removed, at least I'd like to know why..

eh, a lot of people dont like it when people post "inb4dalock" cuz it kind of like a suggestion for the mods to lock it.....

im not sure what thread youre talking about, but pointless is the right word around here.....i just cant seem to find many interesting threads in COR anymore.....if they are interesting, theyve usually already gone off topic and have been hijacked by the Ridiculous-Regulars (as i call them)....

agreed...i've been on TA for 2 yrs and i still dun hav custom status cuz i can't be bothered to post where i dun find anything interesting to talk about. then again...it might just be because i'm not the social or friendly type.

I can relate to that. I just started one that wasn't much of a thread, but not for post count. I didn't know people paid attention to that shit. I like to post when I have something to say. It doesn't have to be the most brilliant insight, cause I'm bored at work, but I don't post on every subject. I will check in on threads until I see something I want to comment on. Keeps me busy at work, at least.
