Turtable Question
I just got turntables, and it's really hard to mix. One reason is, everytime I try to put the needle in the right place to start the song, it's either a bit front or a bit back. Any of you guys have advice? Greatly Appreciated.

Oh ok. That's a good idea. Thanks alot. Appreciate it. If anyone else has advice, keep them coming.

Like what MrJive said, find the beat you want to start it at. Then with a finger or two, spin the record backwards and forwards so that you hear the beat every time it passes under the needle. Time that beat to the beat of the outgoing song so that the two beats line up. Timing is a bit tricky at first when you release the record, but you will get it with practice.
If you can get beatmatching and that technique down, the next step is to learn to phrase match.
what MrJive said (back-cueing) is a very important part of learning how to mix. that way you don't have to rely on you putting the needle in the right place, or pressing the start button to start it. plus you wil then know how to cue a record from anywhere on the vinyl
Ok, I understand. Appreciate it.
