Need help

alright, today i tried dialing up and as soon as it connected, some virus hit of where it says i have 1 minute to shutdown initiated by NT AUTHORITY\System

"the system process C:\WINDOWS\system32\isass.exe" terminaed unexpectedly with status code 1073741819. The system will now shutdown and restart"

i rang my service providor and they told me i had to get some kind of updates from the Microsoft website but due to that 1 minute warning, i had to trick it by turning down my clock a hour or so until i can get the patch.

Now i do this, and go to Windows Update and try to scan for updates, nothing shows and get this:
"Windows Update has encountered an error. This may be due to a discrepancy in your computer's time setting.

To check your date and time setting:

On the taskbar, double-click the time.
Verify that the date and time is correct. "

when i click on properties, Automatic Updates on My Computer, it says "This Windows Update Service is unavailable"

what do i do????

Easy.

Set the time back.

Go to www.symantec.com and type in the symptoms you're having. IT sounds like a worm which was floating round a few months back. Either type in shutdown or NT AUTHORITY SYSTEM or whatever. I'm not doing all the work.

Then it will present you with a removal tool with instructions and probably a link to download the patch separately from windows update. Download and run these and you should be infection free.

Then run all the windows updates and then update/get your antivirus sorted. And make damn sure its Norton because all the rest are shit!
