Alpha Concept - Evolution

Hi guys,

1st time I posted a track here in ages, have had a mental block.

Anyways, this isn't finished, but I've got some bits I'm unsure about.
Mainly the bassline and levels of my leads.

let me know what you think.

Cheers guys

ok hi!

well i learned not to start with a crash if your starting with a pad.

some cool fx sounds on the beginning, i would lower the cut off filter of the bass string like the pad it self, and reverb it more for an overwhelming feel.

kick is ok, just needs more low, bass needs a change here imo, sounds so square.

clap with delay is cool imo, gives good drive, hihat sounds a bit lofi, treble it a bit more.

melody in the is old skool indeed, i like the chord progression here, have to get used on that synth though, no biggie.

break is cool with those sweeping strings, i digg that.

main melody is a bit to loud and try to introduce it a bit with the filter would work better i think.

second lead is also to loud.

just a few mixing issues here imo and the bass , i would make it a heavy deep saw but then thats taste.

good luck mate

I love the way the track starts, with the cool resonant bassline and then the percussion starts layering on; sounds very cool.

Not a big fan of the lead lines though. Not my style, so it's a subjective thing really. However I do think both yourself and Massive84 are right, they are a little bit too loud.

I love the bassline, I don't think you should get rid of that. It may need to change, have more bottom-end, when the leads are playing - but then that may not be necessary if the lead lines are a bit softer.

Cheers for the feedback guys. Am gunna play about with the leadlines.

I've added in a new rolling subbass aswell, to add more definition.

Gunna finish this 1. I'll update when I do.
