Buying mixer need help

Ok should I go for a used DJM 500/600 series or should I just get a brand new vestax 275 mixer. What would you do in my situation?

As long as it is in good condition, I would go with the DJM. Thats a personal preference, but I think it is a great mixer to own.

Well, i personally would choose the vestax, because it would have a warantee, and everything. Also, i simply prefer the vestax to the pioneer. Thats just preference of course, but i love the feel of the vestax, as for the pioneer i cant say the same. A fourth channel is nice, but not mandatory, and the effects in the djm's are soooo overused, i cringe everytime i hear that god damn flanger in a live set.

Later on if you find you want to add effects, after youve got your mixing down, you can buy a kaoss pad 2, or an efx 500. Both of these are much more fun, and useful than the effects in the djm.

You should try both out if possible. If you like the feel of the djm, and feel that you can put trust in its build quality, then it might be a good choice. But remember there are ALOT of people on this forum who own a vestax pcv-275 and love it. I have not heard anyone speak of having any sort of problem with it. There are also alot who own a djm, and many of them are very happy with it as well, but i have heard a few people having problems with it.
