so im taking apart my mixer....
well guys, my mixer is being stupid. everytime i use the fader to go from channel three to channel two the left headphone speaker goes out and i have to wiggle the fader bar thing around to get the sound again.
also, if im on channel 3, and the fader is ALL the way over, i still can hear channel 2 in my right headphone speaker unless i physically push down the fader thing.
im gonna mess with it and see if i can fix it. anybody have recommendations?
im sure most of you what have looked at this were expecting me to say that i fucked something up or got shocked or nearly died.... but no. i fixed my problem!!!! thread closed
Just out of curiousity, but, what kinda of mixer do you have?
gemini PS 626i
its not too bad, but its better now. the worst thing about my setup, is that i dont have any counterweights on my turntables so i ziptied some screws and stuff like that to act as a counterweight till i get them. i will have to take a pic. it looks rediculous
but its effective

i wish i could. i dont have a digital camera. but im getting one in about a month. maybe i can then. otherwise i will just take pics and do the photo CD. it does look pretty dumb.lol
Well at least you like DJ'ing enough to put up with equipment like that. Just look foward to the days when you hopefully will have lots of money and can buy a dream setup.
definately... i cant wait till i have enough spare cash to buy a couple of technics and some huge super amazing advanced mixer with lots of shit that i probably wont need
dont worry, when i have that kind of money, i will be a big time DJ, and of course i will give a shoutout to everyone on TA everytime i have an interveiw.
alright guys... you asked for pics, so here you go:

left table has a bottle of epoxy and electrical tape zip-tied on and right on has like 12 screws....
my counterweights are at a UPS office an hour away, and i havent gotten around to pickin them up...
for other pics, check here

i had no idea it was good. cool. i guess i will have to cover it up. i dont have covers for any of my equipment. thanks for the advice
I've seen lots of 626i's get sold, and the only ones I see come back are mixers that have been collecting dust for some time. No problem though, clean the faders and they're fine. There are pretty cheap faders in the 626 (but hey, it's a cheap budget mixer so don't expect miracles) but it's definetly the best budgetmixer as far as I can see.
It's a shame you didn't get some decent budgettables (some Reloop RP-4000's or American DJ Q-30's, same deck).
well i didnt have a big budget so i just bought the whole package and some vinyls off of a guy on ebay for 132 bucks
