mushroom jazz

I'm looking for good mushroom jazz artists and mixes. I just found my first little bit of the stuff [mark farina's mushroom jazz mixes] and have been thoroughly impressed by the flow and hip laid back style of this genre. Kinda like a lounge music, cool for afterclub sessions and mid-week music. A nice mix between the originality that still exsists in some hip hop and house music. If anyone can help me find some more stuff like these mark farina mixes I'll be very grateful.

Hmmmmmm...st jermain...there's quite a few actually...cafe del mar chillouts are great like taht too!

everything I've heard from cafe del mar is more on the trancey side. St Jermain, I'll have to check it out. Thx man

Take a quick listen to: Jazzanova - Mixing

Not are downtempo/"organic" as the Mushroom Jazz series, but its quite electic but yet fairly mellow. A little on the house side of things, but still quality, IMO. This compilation helps get me through a day at work

Check out the old "Rebirth of Cool" CDs that are out there...older stuff, but really good...Vol. 3 & 7 are both particularly good...mainly chill and loungey, but with excellent beats. They're many years old...but many tracks still sounds good to me St. Germain & Blue Six are both good too...I haven't listend to much current stuff or DJs though.

*anything* by Kruder & Dorfmeister kicks ass...good call. I caught them live at Roxy Blu quite a few years ago...excellent night!!!

I challenge anyone to find a cooler chillout track than Kruder's remix of Bebel Gilberto's "Tanto Tempo"

Check out the Ninjatune label...if you like Amon Tobin, DJ Vadim, etc. they'll be plenty of other artists on that label that you might like!!!

Glad you liked it! I've been listening to this stuff more than anything as of late. If i were to get into production, this is the stuff id experiment with for sure

Man, I'm glad I started this thread, I thought I was the only one out looking for the chilled out stuff like this. I'm happy with all these choices, and glad everyone's enjoying it

check out some stuff by Theivery Corporation and Ninja Tune esp. Kid Koala..

i got the DJ Krush - Zen album and it's pretty smooth too!
