yo ibiza! hopefully i'll get to chill with ya one more time before i jet! you guys have fun at this show! i'll be 31 as of the 21st, but I'll be celebrating that in Las Vegas. should be a good show! oh, and joel should be 21 by then so someone by him a drink for me!

21+ suxs balls really hardcore. sorry but im sooo pissed off cuz when he was in H-town i couldnt go now i can go but its 21+ and Voodoo is farther than i want to go(but im still considering it )

Why do yall have to make everything on a wednesday night? Why not a thursday, friday, or God forbid a saturday night?

The reason we have these types of events on Wed night is b/c the later in the week and weekend you book a DJ, the more expensive it gets for the club/promoter. That expense is passed down to you and everyone who buys a ticket. So what would cost you $15-$25 on a Wednesday night, would cost you $50-$75 on a Friday/Saturday night. Alot has to do with the capasity of the venue. Sky, for instance can hold about 850 in the main room. The top DJs in the world fetch 10s of THOUSANDS of dollars. This does not include hotel (5 star), transportation (limo), contract rider specifications (liquor, etc), and dinner... As you can see, a small market like Austin and a club like Sky can't handle that. That is why the big boys play in NY, LA, SF, Chi-town, Toronto, Montreal, Boston, etc on the weekends and mid-weeks in smaller markets. This is precisly the reason Tiesto played SA on a Tues (that and venue availability). If the Austin Music Hall allowed parties like they used to, you would see big talent in Austin on the weekends. The place holds nearly 3K ppl.

With this being said, Sky is looking at moving these events to Thursday nights... Which will be great, so I can call in sick on Friday! lol. Dirk, you can be sure that there will be solid progressive/trance talent coming thru on Fridays... Hybrid, Sandra, JZ.... Sander K soon.

Your support means everything to us. Without people supporting clubs like Sky and local and regional talent the scene dies. Then everyone is up shit creek...

Never thought I would ever hear that at a club, it's such an incredible song, I'm gonna have to incorporate it into my sets. It's not too common that the opening DJ creates a better vibe than the headliner. I wasn't digging Tiesto's set that night. Take care and good luck Lance!

Lance, thanks for the explanation. And yes, it does make sense. It is just frustrating to hear about these events and not be able to go. I would rather pay the higher prices, but I understand you have a place to fill and a DJ to pay. But I really do appreciate the time you invested in your answer and I hope to make it out to one of your events soon.

On a side note, that is awesome that you dropped Infusion into one of your sets. I love that song and have been trying to hunt it down on vinyl for quite some time.

Finally something goes my way - No class on Thursday equals one helluva time on Wednesday Sept 22...

Saw him in Dallas this past April. Was fortunate enough to get backstage for his ENTIRE set. Good shiat....

I want to go to this, if anyone from houston is going and wants to carpool (to save on gas and whatnot) we should do that.

man i guess im not makin it out to see PvD the 22nd unless i can get a fake id or they could just change it to 18+ so that more ppl can go

I've had the Legacy track for a while. I was very fortunate to get it early in the Balance Record Pool. I'm happy that I packed it in my box that night It is an amazing track, all time top 10 4 sho.

I appreciate the positive feedback, especially today. B/c our house got broken into yesterday and they took my Mac (laptop) and a watch my father gave to me for high school grad. So, the wife and I have been down. So, thank you for the positive feedback. B/c it could have been worse... All of that stuff can be replaced. An I can communicate with my office computer for now.

Dirk, I understand your frustration... its frustrating to me too.

As for 21+, I'm really sorry, but the club does not want probs with the TABC. Which is understandable.

Only thing about being backstage was that they had no sound back there... iono that shit was overrated. Last time I pay extra for VIP

So who is thinkin of making this gig? I'm still debating if I should attend or not since I have class the next day. If I go it will be my first 21+ gig that I'll be 21 for.

GBM and I are going...he's coming from Houston to College Station and then we are leaving from there. If you want I'm sure we can work something out.
