Shooting at Wellington+Bay
its 9am, i just got off the Go train, to find that bay+wellington is completly blocked off. i walk over to young, and through BCE place over to Bay to get a look(i work at BCE Place) cops everywhere.
turn on CP24, a man had taken a women hostage after shooting another women earlier.
the cops did not do as good a job as the media stated about blocking off the area, because when i was on Bay peopl were still wlking around, and at this point the gun man had not been taken down.
Wow...some crazy shit...what's the cause of this mad rage?? What's going on lately in TO anyways...why so much violence? 
they gun men was shot, taken down, and the second hostage was fine. shaken but fine
i know its crazy, especially cause i was looking around and it was happening, but i still didnt see anything.
they just shot the bastard and hes dead...
well at least he wont be back out after 4 years.

And I took today off from work... and I work right there, would have been *interesting* to see
fuckin cocks, why does shit like this have to happen. its scary to know that something like that can happen at union at that time of the day, imagine all the commuters, thats fucked up, i hope the woman that was shot is ok now. fuck this just makes me soooo mad for some reason.

I give full marks to the police force and emergency crews for this situation. THey did not start it but they dealt with what happened. They tried to solve the situation and the man got threatening towards the police and the sharpshooter ended his life with one shot. Only person that was hurt was the gunman and it turns out the person that he originally shot but no one in the public was hurt besides that. Well done to the police force who put their lives on the line, day in and day out.
Wellington ... what's up with this area ? This summer, it's getting seriously sketched out and dangerous.
just saw it on the news of the guy getting shot in the head while holding the hostage.....they actually showed it.

It seems to me that the police handled the situation perfectly by the book, this gives them a positive image to all the problems they have been having earlier
some of the things that will probably be going through jayx1's mind as he stews over the latest developments...
1) I don't believe it, black people don't live in Ajax. He had to be from Regent park.
2) So what if he was from Ajax, he true place is in Regent park, along with all the caribana folk -- those damn gangbangers, keep em the hell away from me and my sandwich shop.
3) The newspaper isn't telling us the whole truth. It's along with everything else in this country is under the dictatorial control of the government.
4) He probably didn't vote...therefore he deserved to die.

although i do agree that the police handled it pretty well, i think there was room for improvement. because i was at the intersection and there were loads of people walkinga round. it was weird because on the south side of wellington on bay, they were diverting traffic/comuters, but on the northside people were walking around freely. i just went around the cops and i was 'right in the action'.
i didnt understand the inconsitancy in the routing of people.
but they did diffuse the situation very quickly.
