This is the 3rd Day......

This is the 3rd day that I have not smoked a cigarette. I smoke weed everyday when I get home from work but that all. I am trying to kick the habit before I move into my new apartment. This way that apartment will be smoke free.

I am going to lunch to get some pizza now, but if anyone has suggestions on what to do if I get a craving besides eat (cuz I will blow up like a house) please post and I will read the replies when I get back from lunch.

No I quit cigs, not pot. If I smoke more pot then Ill be really broke.

try chewing on toothpicks. works for me when i cant smoke.

, hey, i don't smoke stogs in my room, but i still smoke trees inside w/ a bowl all the time. the smell disappates quickly and easily. i don't think weed has as much tar and the smell doesn't cling as much, so keep toking! ur apartment won't smell! hahaha

go to the hospital and visit some people that have lung cancer or emphysema and ask them what you should do.

Or look at some pictures of lungs of a smoker after 20 years.

Or go talk to some young kids that got asthma from second hand smoke and ask them how they feel about people who smoke.

Go read the truth website.

im sure by then you'l figure out a way to kick the habit.

i did this and it helped
but i have a weak will and am back to chain smoking

I will try that. So far this is the fourth day and I still have not had a cigarette. Usually when I quit it lasts a day and the next day I am right back to it. I think this time I may actually make it.

dont you usually need a cig after you blaze? lols take it from me, i stopped smoking weed a while back, about 4months ago, havent taken a puff since, dont get me wrong i still miss it, but ill tell ya this now, if i take like 2 hits i'll be BLAZED!

By the way today is the 5th day and I am still going on string without a cigarette. I almost caved in yesterday it was really hard to resist.

the longest i've gone without cig was 5 days...(when i was at my parent's place..) it's easier when i'm around non smokers but as soon as i come back to ny....pretty much impossible (i do wanna quit when im done with school though..)

Me and the bf and both qutting together before we move into the new apartment. Its harder when I am at work because people are always calling me to go out on a smoke break with them because they either dont know I am trying to quit yet or forget out of force of habbit. I cant prove it but I think some of them are doing to to test me.

this old dude that used to come into the restaurant i worked at told me that when he got a craving he either picked up and smelled an orange or ate an entire orange...
he said it worked like a charm
he couldn't even stand to smell a cigarette after the orange
and hasn't smoked since (and that was a very long time ago)
