Denon 2600 dual cd player help...
I just started spinning at this club, and they have Denon cd decks, specifically the 2600 model. I'm used to Pioneer decks, and having tremendous trouble cueing up songs. I'm sure some of you guys are familiar with cueing on them, any help is appreciated. Om my pioneer's, i always put it into scratch mode and cue that way. is it possible to do the same on the 2600? thanks
Slip ya cd in.. choose ur track. wait till the it displays track lenght. move the jog dail and U will b able to hear the frames go by... wen U reach the desired frame hit play.. thts ur cue now..
Next TURN-UP the volume.. and test em spk'rs..

Wrong
I use these practically every night
Easy to do:
Hit play. then when the approximate cue point is reached, hit pause, then use the jog wheel to wind it slightly forward/backward to find the exact point you require.
When you find it, hit CUE.
This is now your cue point- every time you hit cue it will return to this point, unless it is paused, in which case it will set you a new cue and overwrite the old one (be careful of doing this by accident)
If you turn and hold the outer part of the jog wheel when finding the exact cue point, it will cycle slowly though the track in your chosen direction. If you give it a sharp turn it will skip 10 seconds, if you give it an even sharper turn it will skip a minute.
The cueing on these is far superior and faster than any other cd player -INCLUDING the cdj1000 and cxm 3000.
2600 is probably the best denon available and my personal favourite.
Make sure you make use of the sampler too
ok, but to reiterate, there's absolutely no way to cue in scratch mode like you would using a Pioneer deck?
because the first tiem I tried using this Denon, I searched frame by frame, hit cue, and it didn't seem to cue on the beat. When I would go to play the song at the cue point, there was a delay before the beat actually played...i assumed I was doing it wrong...
