[RNC] Are you working during the convention?

Well I thought it'd be useful to know what everyone plans on doing for the RNC [republican national convention]? For me personally, I'm working from home...I work right in Penn Plaza, sorry I dont need to be in the hotspot!

So what do you plan on doing?

RNC - Madison SQ Garden - Aug 30 to Sept 2nd

*edit*
as per Shamez thread, I hope he isn't referring to my thread as an IM-Type thread? lols I just want to see who is working, where they would be working since the city will be tighter than a virgin on prom night...plus going through all the bullshit hassle nyc has to offer!

I could see Bush spoof that 1960's movie where the Texan with the cowboy hat rides a nuke to its detonation point in the Soviet Union.

Haha, not at all man. I'm talking about smack dab in the middle of threads, you have people having IM convo's.

"Hey, whats up?"

"Hey! Nothing really. You?"

"Umm... I'm bored. Yay."

"Etc.."

To stay on topic, I don't work in the city, so I'm cool. But my brother goes to cool at John Jay. My mom is having a heart attack. She wants him to stay home the whole week. Haha... so paranoid she is.

Well my company has a nyc office on 5th Ave but I dont work in that one. Many of the employees (the ones that are to scared to be in NYC) are going to be relocated to the Long Island building temporarily while the convention is going. Not all employees, just the ones that have requested it and do not feel comfortable there.

They are setting up these huge 60" Wall Mounted LCD's right now...interesting!

Where are you coming from?
If you are coming from uptown on the west side I'd suggest going cross park via bus to get to the east and come down...its much easier

there are plenty of ways to avoid 34th st...this is new york you know people walk around all the time...just dont let it inconvience you, look at it as a time for you to explore different routes on the way to class~!
