I alwasy thought this was Epic-Trance at its best. But then again alot of epic stuff tends to be uplifting too. The song is great though, so where u choose to catigorize it doesnt matter

Original > all

Also, Binary Finary - 1999 (Gouryella Remix). The remix in itself is fairly standard but the distorted high-pitched synth in the middle when it hits the peak is simply mindblowing.

Oh hell yes. Memories of Ferry dropping it in his classics set at Global Gathering this year... me & 5 mates were all wasted & stood in a circle holding hands with our arms in the air during that break, was awesome

Gouryella's "Ligaya" seals the deal for me. It is like a master stainglass window which subsequent designs are often either directly inspired or copied by.

The catchy melody is orgasmic, the almost baroque chord progression tasteful in its approach yet honed to a fine point of exquisite euphoria, and the way the beats gel with the arpeggiators and how it breaks down and builds, again . . . it's such a rush. Since I feel each Gouryella track keeps getting better and better, the question remains: what will be in store for us next?

im going to have to third the saltwater - the legacy.

maybe im just a trendy bastard or something, but i like

Rapid eye - circa forever
AvB - communication
Jose Amnesia - eternal

those four songs are all that ibiza documentary.

and what is Epic Trance?

the only Gouryella track that has some good rhythmic work would be Gouryella - Gouryella.. every production be Gouryella falls from there IMO.. I mean c`mon.. Ferry made Gouryella - Ligaya in about 2 days

its the melody with simple bass, percussions and arranging

Exactly -- all that simplicity really appealed to me!

well make a simple track now and see if a label replies to you.

i like simple tracks if it appeals, but now it's all about the rolling 3 layerd basslines with 10 acids, supersaws....yay!

for me it's tiesto-suburban train. wish tiesto would make a track like that again 1 more time. His new work sux.

oh ya i wanne add airhead-vortex

Posted by Thunder5 on Aug-28-2004 20:41:

I thought about this for some time...
And came to conclusion that the most uplifting track for me is

Li Kwan - Point Zero

Posted by Frase on Aug-28-2004 20:43:

Recently....

Aalto - Taurine (Original Mix)

Yup, totally. It was hilarious because whenever the metallic, timestretched voice said "Gouryella", I'd thump my chest like an ape and trot around the room. Now that was uplifting to me! CHEERS.
