Tranquility Base - Surrender (Michael Feihstel Into Depth Remix)
Anjunas big tune of this year i think...
ive talked to quite a few people about this tune. looks like its gunna be big..
i have a feeling this is gunna be this years massive tune. Tranquality Base - Surrender original was alright..but it had someting that was lacking.. oh thats right, element. It was weak. but supposidly this tune is gunna be great, and i cant wait for it me self. i would die to hear a sample of this..

| Originally posted by montana i fucking knew it, anjunadigital, that is like almost getting stuff released, damn you anjuna, this track is vinylrelease worthy not "let's give this to the world in a wank ass format like wma" worthy |
yeah, ok so you haven't heard the track yet, ok then, still
i like the track, it is a chilled apprach to surrender, and if you are familiar to michi f's productions, this is no near the linkin park remixes, it more resemblaned to chilled style in the hales & cosgrove track's intro remix and the remix of the evanescence track

it's not low bit rate at all. in fact a 128Kbps WMA sounds as good as a 192Kbps /FACT.
The vinyl mixes have been decided anyway, original & filterheadz. mathew adams remix will be anjunadigital.
nell, i know it's 192kbps wma, BUT, wma should only be used for low bitrate shit
why? there is nothing to support this.
Anjuna, specifically paavo (an extreme audiophile), did extensive testing with WMA in and out of clubs. Each AD track has been re-mastered from the original mater copy copy, then encoded to WMA. They even postponed releasing some old anjunadigital material for a while because they wanted to make sure it was 100% good etc. unlike crappy mp3's you cna check the db levels and everything are spot on perfect, i.e. once you burn a cd, there is no audible difference between that and a regular CD quality that the human ear can detect. yes you lose a few frequencies, but not ones that you can hear. Read the anjunadigtial forum for all the info you need on it. There's too many threads on this now.
p.s. i know you mean well mate and are obviously pissed about his mix not getting vinyl. BUT if the demand became high enough they could well release a remix vinyl! look at altf4, that whole track is AD only, but they have said if it gets enough requests / support from promotion, a vinyl release will be considered.
with a chilled mix like this one, most vinyl buyers are wantign club like mixes to play out. Thus the demand for his mix on a vinyl of its own wouldnt be as in demand + chilled mixes sound crap on vinyl because of the distortion etc. If it's not going to be profitable, they aren't going to put it on vinyl.
The Things Is...
i think i've heard just about enough about how "ok" Surrender (Original) is! the song is amazing, it's one of the best of 2004 thus far (in my opinion). i think many ppl first heard it on A&B's Essential Mix with the 'Anjuna & Friends - Essential (Acappella)' overtop of it, and many of these same people were taken by the track instantly. now that it's out, about 2 months later, i hear all this b/s about it's mediocrity! A&B pres. TB - Surrender (Original) is an amazing track and i urge all trance fans to check it out w/o bias and decide for yourselves.
as for the Michael Feihstel remix I seriously have my doubts... we know all about Feihstel's Into Depth remixes from his work with Linkin Park's 'Numb' and Evanescence's 'My Immortal'... and while I personally LOVED these remixes, he has a way of making his tracks to "quietly layered" in the sense that they have excellent progressive melodies and re-working... but everything is very subtle. I think that this type of remixing, where all the reworkings are very subtle, is great, but may not be well recieved by fans of the original or people who love straight trance. so far everything Feihstel touches turns to slow, layered, and subtle progressive... so who knows! i look forward to hearing it, but I don't know how "huge" it's going to be...
