Covering from dust

when i had my old setup, i always used to have the dust covers on my TT's and a sheet over my mixer because i was scared that dust might damage them (cos they sucked). So now that i have a vestax mixer and technics 1210's can i keep the covers off them? Or will dust shorten the life of my faders, etc, even though there high quality?

Its always annoying havin to take the covers off at the start and put them back on when your finished + your setup looks ugly with covers on.

nah its cool dust wont do anything. just make your TT's look unkept
