Problems With Mastering

I've started this tread for you to maybe help me answer a question i had for so long...

you see i've already considered Mastering with cubase Sx...(i got Sx 1.01.)

But I've Encountered 2 problems in doing so maybe you can fix them up for me...

1st: The answer between the midi input signal and the midi output signal is lagging by a big 3-4 seconds...my friend told me it would maybe the buffer....but i switched it to the lowest and still nothing happens...Solutions???

2nd: i work with reason 2.5 as a sequencer and i would master with Cubase Sx...But my computer freezes everytime i do this...i do the things in the right order but i think my computer is not Killer Enough to handle both....could anyone give me Their minimum setup for their computer so i can see if mine lacks ....

Thx for helping me

my suggestion: when your'e done with a track, render it to a wav-file and then load that file in cubase or wavelab and proceed with the mastering from there
