male and female vocals

has there ever been a tune that originally had male vocals but then was later remixed with female vocals?

i heard the Richard Marx song "Right Here Waiting" remixed at a club once with a female singing. Would like to find it somewhere, but all my searching has come up empty.

I wonder how Burned with Desire would sound with male vocals ...

Hybrid have two versions of if I survive

the original was done with a female vocal on wider angle

when they did morning sci-fi, they got adam the vocalist to do his version of it. I've heard them play both versions.

Lenny Kravitz - Believe In Me was remixed with both male and female vocals.

and lots of cheesy club tunes that are classic songs remixed to make chubby suburban girls wearing 2-sizes-too-small-for-them club clothes want to dance with their wigger boyfriends...

this was done so shane54 could legally release his original bootleg mix of believe in me. g&d did the same thing with their bootleg remix of depeche mode's here is the house

Yeah, it happened with Z2 - I Want You. The original mix has male vocals (which the majority of people apparently dislike), and the Lange remix has a rather crappy female vocal track instead.

I'm not shitting on female vocals here, because most of the time they're fine a good portion of the time, but these really sucked. Oh well.

I always found this to be quaint. Like an "alternate history" and it's interesting. I wonder if they'll ever do one that's a duet of the genders

I find it is interesting that people think male vocals in electronic music are gay, but people also think female vocals in rock music are gay too. Hmmm...

That IS interesting.

To me, it's only gay if a gay person is singing.

For very, very obvious reasons.

I don't mind either way, if it's good it's good. Male or female. Gay or straight. But I just find it strange that not only do people not like something based on the gender of the vocalist, but they also attach a sexual orientation to the track.
