ok, so as i was readin through mixmag, i was readin da manumission article and it clearly stated that they are gonna rent a venue or club and have manumission every week in da city for probably 2 months or more during the fall!!!!!!! MANUMISSION is hosted in the biggest club in the world @ Privilege and is known to be the craziest party in the world...that would be the most amazin thing to ever hit NYC its crazy enough in ibiza so you know its gonna be mindblowin once they take over da city... more info comin up later

Yeah they want to move back to New York to start up the club craziness again...
but I don't know how long it will last with all the pressure on club culture in NYC right now....
it may have worked whenever clubbing first started...but not these days...
I don't think it will last personally...
even though it will be awesome if it does

Privilage and manumission are out of control crazy parties. That will be sweet if they come over.

This is exactly what NYC needs to rejuvinate the clubbing scene. Something fresh and new like this should start peaking interest once again.

I'm curious as to what kind of crowd it would attract in NYC. Also, what kind of experience would manumission be outside of its memorial atmosphere in Ibiza. Could be something fresh and new, or could be a disaster waiting to happen, when snobby cultural eccentrics start to posh up our trance clubs...

i think it will be a disaster in the US...there's only 1 place to experience manumission and that's privelege in ibiza...when the roof opens in the morning and you're still dancing in teh sunlight

It will be a poor man's ibiza party. you cant recreate that scenery in privilege. Just like the gatecrasher and godskitchen events that have taken place here, they are nothing compared to the ones abroad. Crobar would be the only place to have huge flames and acrobats but not big enough to hold a large crowd. The reputation of these events are being embarrassed. If you bring the party here, bring the djs here to follow along with the decor.

I just hope its not @ crobar, but i dont think it would be cause they r too goody goody over there o i cant wait for this!!!!!!

I could potentially happen at Shelter or Ikon too since they are pretty big venues.

i my self have never been to ibiza or a manumission party
but ive seen pics in mixmag it looks crazy like ringling brothers circus on acid lol
but i agree godskitchen isent doing that great here in nyc
and the nyc scene is turning mostly into bottle crowd
i honestly dont think that there will be enuff party people who will go there for the music to fill up a space like crobar or exit for 12 weeks
if this was done back in like 98 threw 2001 maybe it would have lasted
