What do you guys think of this?

All I'm wanting to do is to, with a small budget, be able to do some mixing for myself and some friends. I don't really plan on taking it much farther than that. With that in mind, what do you think of this setup?

LMAO

Save your money.

Hey man, if that's your budget and precision isn't a big issue, go for it. I mean, if you're not working on being some superstar DJ, why not. It will give you a general idea of how things work.

You will probably want something a lot more powerful though 1 month into it, so consider that too.

Well, like Dirk W. said, if that's what you want, then go for it.

But remember that those things will probably get your more frustrated instead of giving you the fun they should be giving, so save up and get some better equipment.

There's a lot of stuff out there that isn't that expensive, but has a decent build quality. Think of Gemini, Numark, Vestax, etc...

do not buy this!! my brother got it a while back after seeing me on my techs. It is now falling apart, its good to use as a CD player, but nothing else.

Thanks for the advice so far, guys. Any models that you would recommend?

well, you probably get a numark axis9 or wait for denon's new dn-s1000 for $300ea. As for mixer, a gemini umx-7 would work fine but they are long out of production. So either check out the vestax pcv-175 for mixing, or if you just want to try a little of scratching as well, then maybe check out the denon x100. From what i've read and heard, the new denon products will deliver a excellent performance/price value.

Better, but i still wouldnt spend money on it. If you are willing to spend a bit more get the dnx100 (the mixer djchex showed you) along with a pair of dns1000's. Those should be reliable and fun, and cheap.
