Headphones of famous DJ's

Do you know what headphones famous DJ's prefer? Tiesto, Sasha, Armin van Buuren and others...

Tiesto used to use Pioneer HDJ-1000s dont know 'bout now tho

Tiesto was contracted with Stanton, used to use the DJ Pro 2000S.
He used them at his Concert last year, so they might not be too bad - about half the price of the hdj.
I'm not sure if he still uses them , I have a feeling he may have upgraded to Stanton's new flagship, the 3000.

Kai Tracid - Senn HD-25
Blank and Jones - Same
Dumonde - Same
Rank 1 - Uses the new Technics - RPHD-1200
Ferry Corsten - I have a very good feeling he uses the Pioneers

I'm a little sketchy on any others - I am mainly working off videos that I have seen recently. Don't know Sasha, Armin etc for that reason.

When Tiesto played here in June, he was using Sony headphones (see pic below).

Ferry does use the Pioneers (see pic below).

Don't know the model (I'm not DJ :-p), but the original version of this pic says Pioneer clearly :-p

I'm pretty sure Armin van Buuren, Josh Gabriel, and Dave Dresden all use Sony headphones...the same ones in the Tiesto pic below.

When Sasha played here last month, he wore Sony headphones, but a different model (see pic below).

I think Johan Gielen and Marco V both use Technics...both the same model.

Yeah, I thought Tiesto had changed. Had a feeling it was away from Stanton, but wasn't sure.

The Sonys would probably be the mdv-r700s i'd imagine. I thought Johan Gielen also used Sonys (although that was a while ago) but he might have changed.

Don't you mean the 7506s Freak?

yes

i think in many if not most cases the headphones come with the venue - unless they are trash or its a single DJ event. with the 'superstars' they likely get more picky but when tiesto flies in for a 2 hour show he can prolly use whatever is present|

Thats utter bullshit

headphones are one of the most personal things to a Dj- and one of the most vital.

Ive never ever worked at a venue with headphones provided. EVER.
That just doesnt happen- you are lucky in half of them if there are cartridges and stylus present on the 1210s- doesnt matter if its a small club or a large festival with AA list djs- each will have their own headphones

PvD uses the Sony MDR7506 aswell as Sasha.

When Tiesto was at Vision 06/26 he was sporting Stanton DJ Pro 2000S (good phones btw). Perhaps he's weaning himself off of the Stantons for the Pioneers??

As far as phone sharing goes I know that if I ever played in a club I'd bring my own pair rather than using the communal club phones (if they even exist). That's like going to work out and using the gym's shoes.
