i use alive MP3 recorder to record my mixes, but am having a small problem with the bitrate.
No matter what i set the record bitrate to, it always comes out as 128kbps, is it something thats limited by the quality of my soundcard (standard), it's not a problem as such, but it would be nice to know

i wouldn't have a clue how to solve the problem without looking at the software, but i would however say you will probably get better sound quality recording to wav in cool edit pro or something and then encoding it.
