New production FTP site available for TA users

I have decided to donate some diskspace and bandwidth for the 'cause' - a production FTP really helps out us all and I hope you will all pitch in so this can be a valuable resource.

The server is 24/7 running on a dedicated 10 mbit connection, so you should get decent transfer speeds.

For now I'm leaving it open to everyone hoping that we can all use and not abuse. If problems occur then we'll switch to individual accounts, but I'd rather not have to deal with the hassle

The service is up and ready for your uploads.

I set up a basic structure like this - please try and use this :

-other
--tutorials
--vsti's
--utilities
-samples
-- create subdirectories as needed - will be restructured later.
-tracks
-- artistname
--- artist-track.mp3
-videos (note these will likely be swapped to conserve diskspace).

Log in information

login tranceftp
password 42thefloor

The password will change on a regular basis.

I contacted John about uploading content from the old FTP site, but it may be a while, so feel free to start uploading!

though i'm not sure it's a good idea to have it open for everyone. you probably get stats like: uploaded: 100mb downloaded: 496gig
anyway, i'll sort out the stuff from the old ftp later this week.

We'll see if we can keep the traffic reasonable. If not we'll have to be more selective, but until proven otherwise I'm hoping we s can let this be a nice resource for everyone.

but...theres nothing showing up...says im signed in under the acct name n pass u displayed for us. I tried searching the tutorials hoping i could learn something...and nothing showed

Everyone has the chance to to upload tutorials, the vsti's, samples and tracks - I dont have it all here The purpose is to make a place available for us all to use.

Contribute and then others will.. If you sample it they will come.. eh.. something like that

Right now, no need to sign up, just use the shared ID/password posted above.

Later on we'll probaby move to individual accounts to keep a bit more track of what goes where.
