Sunquest - Airborne [Carl B Remix], Full 96kbps
Hello there!
Just finished my remix on Sunquest's amazing tune Airborne!
Sunquest - Airborne [Carl B Remix]
Enjoy!
Regards,
- Carl B

great remix!!!
better than the original
Nice start! FX is good, and the track sounds really alive with just the intro drums playing. I am wondering if theres a bit too much 'click' on the kick drum, but it might just be me.
Pads come in, its all sweet and the percussion is building nicely. I like that plucked synth / perc / arpeg type sound that has come into the mix. Pads and bass start to change chords and I can feel the anticipation building. This is good stuff, has an excellent vibe to it and considering its only 96kbps still sounds very clean.
Ok, I've got the main melody coming in which I must say is quite good and the sound you've used for this is well programmed. I must complain here however - the breakdown feels a bit too repetitive, with just the main lead playing over and over until it all kicks off. Maybe you could cut out a few bars here to help the track move on.
It all kicks off, finally, and its sounds really alive - good production no doubt whatsoever. Now this doesn't feel repetitive anymore. There are changing an evolving parts which is what I like to hear. Rest of the track continues to flow nicely, just as before.
Overall, an excellent production / remix mate!
Are you a signed artist?
Thanks man!
Nope.. I'm not signed...
mmm !
very good synthwork, strings and lead are top !
i dont really like the kick tho, and perhaps its missing a bit of low frequencies in that bass but it may just be my ears...
tighter than the original, i'd say i like both as much !
good work ;-)
static blue
sounds massive mate!
i have a few complaints, though.
the percussion for example, it does not bring enough energy to the track. i'm missing a strong open hat to give the track more drive. the kick is also a bit too loud in the mix. this could be the result of the low mp3 quality, though.
then about the breakdown.. it is too "light". the bassline fades away just before, but i was missing a deep bass pad during the breakdown. same thing when the main melody comes in.. the melody from the original is very uplifting, but the build-up in your remix takes a lot of that away, simply because there is no bassline that carries the listener to the climax.
overall a very nice track, but i didn't really want to throw my hands in the air like a madman.
thanks for your comments! appreciated!
dling. will listen soon.
lemme have a few beers first for ron's sake!
Overall nice. But introduce the main bassline at like 55 seconds. Comes in too soon and not dj friendly!

| Originally posted by TriXed I agree with you on this one, either that or both our speakers/headphones are playing up! Might be just the 96kbp.. Could we have a higher quialty version? Havent chekced out the orginal but I will after hearning this. I am truely stunned at how good this and every other tune is on trance addict. Its given me faith in Trance again. If this is Trance's future... Im damn happy to be part of it. |
