Arrow Timoteus pres. Progressive House and Trance

Hi everyone!

I'm a bit newbie here but hopefully someone will listen to this mix that I made. This one mainly consists of progressive house and trance tunes, old and new ones. Any comments on this are highly appreciated

Timoteus - Love&Stimulation [79:28] [72,7Mt] [128kbps]

Tracklist is as follows:

1. Trey Smith - Subhuman (Alexander Church remix) (Gravitation)
2. Tocharian - Awakening (Original mix) (Intrinsic)
3. Dousk - Mute (Bedrock Records)
4. Pinkbox Special - Nice guys finish last (Electronic Elements)
5. Chris Micali - So easy (Vapour)
6. Dousk - Tengaloop (Blaq Velvet)
7. Derek Howell - Midnight run (cdr)
8. Mile 1 - Itsu (zgur Can remix) (Pure Music)
9. Chris Lake - Hiatus (Kingkade remix) (Pangea)
10. Roland Klinkenberg - T.K.O. (Electronic Elements)
11. Humate - Love stimulation (Oliver Lieb softmix)

And then one thing: Don't let the poor sound quality affect your decision to listen it or your forthcoming listening experience...

Thanks!!

(Also thanks to BreakThatHouse -collective for the server)

Thumbs up

I'm listening to your mix right now, and the first 30 minutes are impressive . Smooth mixing, nice melodic prog-house or something, perfect for a lazy sunday afternoon like today
Keep up the good work man, I like this!

This set is very very good! Best one Ive heard from you
Some clipping occurs here and there because of that damn time stretching you did, but it doesnt matter too much

Thanks for the set!

Thanks for the kind comments...also negative feedback is feedback and I would like to receive a little deeper analysis (so to speak) about this set...and if you just like to listen to it please do so

hey man, I listened to this a few days ago. These comments are going to be really brief because of the time lapse, but hopefully they'll still be useful..

mixing was usually pretty good, a few rough spots here or there but nothing most good dj's don't make. You're doing a little of this already, but one thing to do to make prog. house/deep prog trance sets interesting is find transitions between tracks that make that transition almost into another track. For example, in one of my deep, prog sets I went from Markus Schulz - Clear Blue to Ronski Speed - EOS (Perry O'Neil remix). The lead from Clear Blue and the bassline from EOS change perfectly together such that it almost sounds like an entirely different track than either two in isolation.

The programming was also pretty good. I think a lot of progressive house sets can get boring, but you keep the interest up by putting in some variety. The breaks track you had was a nice touch in terms of variety, but some might argue that it threw off the structure of your set: for trance I think that matters, but for this set it's less important. All in all, I agree with what someone else said: it's a perfect set for a lazy sunday afternoon. Let me know when you have another set done .
