i'm from hamilton...the clubs in hamilton really suck...they all just play top 40...there are a few small and relatively unknown clubs here that do play trance...when i get a chance to go to a club i usually go to t.o...i've been to the guv a shit-load of times on saturdays and i've also been to meow...at meow, they do play some trance but mostly house...in your opinion, what are the best clubs in toronto for trance music...and on what night?

Hamilton SUX

Hey I'm from Toronto, but stuck in Hamilton for school (MAC).. I also go to guv all the time, but wish there was something here..

Splash is okay sometimes in teh basement, they play pretty new house with the odd trance track ....
they're starting a new LTA on Feb 2 so maybe we'll be hearing some more trance from them on Z103.5 LTA??

K well today they're starting to play trance everywhere...i heard komodo and half dozen other songs at limelight (saturday) and at g-spot they play it (Friday and saturday)....same with fluid..but these are just regular clubs...that play all music..towards the end of the nite they kick in the trance

but if u want just trance...go to guvernment on saturday ..
prolly the best one with mark oliver (he use to spin at meow on fridays ..but played house/trance)
saturday at guv is just trance..

meow is closed down now... and it won't be coming back

A friend of mine works there and I talked to him saturday @ guv and he said it should be open next friday.. we'll see.

oh ok then... the impression i got from the info i heard, was that they weren't coming back. There have been many lawsuits against meow.. and there's been a lot of backstabbing among the owners (a friend of mine is dating one of the owners) so they may or may not reopen... maybe everything's worked out since then cuz i got this news about a month ago so it's a bit outdated..

If you are looking for some of the most progressive, mind-bending trance out there right now, check out System Soundbar on Friday nights for Breathe Fridays. Last week was Quivver and Medway, an amazing show. On the 2nd will be Park and Wilson, I cannot wait!
