Exclamation Advent*Jah Festival - Melbourne - Saturday 11th December 2004

One Last Dance

In recent times we have seen our favourite venues come and go. We saw the likes of the Docklands, Global Village, Bertie St (to name a few) all give way to todays demand on real estate. As they say, all good things do come to an end, and sadly, we see this happening with Kryal Castle. An institution, known worldwide for its amazing productions, Kryal Castle was everyones date with imagination. Who would have thought a castle would cause such a stir?

So we reach the final supper, the last dance in a venue that has seen almost 10 years of this fantastic dance culture. We sign it off with a bangintroducing, the Last Dance to Advent*jah

Oracle Events proudly presents The Advent*jah Festival. After almost three months of negotiations with the Castle, they have decided to allow one more event, giving us the opportunity to farewell this great venue for all those memorable times it has given us. Our last event at the castle was supposed to be the final show, but after a dismal turnout, it certainly wasnt the best way to say good bye. We all know this venue needs a massive farewell party and we made it our mission to land it one more time.

To explain how this is possible, the castle has not yet been sold due to a discrepancy with the potential buyer. Never the less, the Castle did not want to do anymore events. The negative feedback the media has given recent events at Melbourne Park, for instance, would be damaging to their reputation as a function centre. Although Kryal Castle is still on the market, we have secured this final show and we urge those who are skeptical to contact the castle in advance. This is not another final event scam. We have, infact, already secured an inner-city venue for next year's Advent*jah, but we all deserve one last dance. So join us, for the grand finale of Kryal Castle!

Just got off the phone to Agnelli and Nelson. They love the idea of playing at a castle, and are pleased to be coming to Australia. Its been too long since their last visit. 2001? These boys rock and love their beer :

Posted by G`Dave on Sep-14-2004 05:27:

Dave and accociates shall definantly be in attendance.

This one is going to be massive, was thinking about getting a motel room for the next night, don't really fancy the idea of driving home after this. Anyone know what the accomodation is like up there, will there be plenty available, or should I book a room... now.

Posted by sLiCk_NiCk on Sep-14-2004 05:59:

Dave ive been up there before for a few basketball tournaments over the yrs and there is plenty of types of accomodation depending on how much ur whilling to pay. not to sure how busy it will be the weekend kryal is on so its probably best to enquire just in case

btw PDT i noticed there was no signum listed in your updates post..is there a glitch there or are they already 100% confirmed therefore u didnt have to add them?

Posted by PDT on Sep-14-2004 06:23:

sLiCk_NiCk: FE now have Signum so we removed them from our lineup and confirmed some more trance goodness. My apologies on not bringing this up earlier.
