-- FX for Numark PPD01

Question FX for Numark PPD01

I was hoping some more experienced users could explain how to use the FX of Numark PPD01 mixer. I have played with the Pioneer DJM500 before but I'm just an amateur. I have two Pioneer CD players.
I bought the Numark after returning the Behringer DJX700 whose effects I found useless. In particular, I'd like to use the flanger (or any other interesting FX). I would be spinning mostly trance like Tiesto,Markus Schulz, and Armin.
BTW, I did notice the improved sound quality between this unit and the Behringer.
Thanks in advance.

If you wanted good effects, you should've bought the Nuo 5. With the Numark, I don't know. Read the manual!

I don't intend to use the FX that much but I do want to unterstand how to use them if appropriate. The manual is pretty much worthless. The filters seem strange to me since they share the EQ controls.

I don't have a PPD01 in stock right now so I can't check. Sorry dude.

a flanger is only annoying if the person doesn't know how to use it creatively i.e. not just flanging down then up over a period of 16 beats or whatever (all the bloody time!). that is boring, and its a shame cos you can get so much more out of a flanger if you twat about enough with it

I'll second that, I've heard it used at times where it has really helped the tracks energy or buildup, but you really gotta know what you are gonna do, and not just turn it on full and leave it for 32 beats.

Yea.... cuz The Numark and Nuo5 are in the same price range...

Not everyone is able to afford a 1500 dollar mixer... there for they have to go with what they can afford..

As for the flanger... It is a sweet effect when used properly... DAMN SWEET!!

Well, the ECLER Nuo 5 does look like a fantastic mixer.
But my being realistic, I won't be getting one anytime soon.
The Numark PPD01 is only $299 as opposed to over $1000 for the Nuo5.
I also don't need the extra channels on the Nuo5.
