Question So I'm Flying Up From Hawaii For Monster Massive...

So me and 2 other friends are flying out for Monster Massive 2004, and needed to know what are some hotels in the area we can stay at.

We are looking for at least 2.5 - 3.5/4 star hotel.
Its the first time I have been to a california Massive, and I had to pick the correct time to go and Monster Massive couldnt be the best time.

Any suggestions for hotels?

Hope to see all you TAs out there.

Thanks In Advnace!

Why stay at a hotel when you have plenty of LATA's to crash with?
lol

might want to check out expedia.com or something.
You can look for something close on there.

You can check out tranceclubheaven on Friday. Dont know who they have booked to spin, but it should be good. They are located at a club called Arena on Santa Monica Blvd, near West Hollywood.

If your going to LAX, i would recommend get something moderately close to the Sports Arena, the freeways will be hell on halloween.

im trying to orbitz / sidestep something really close.

I think there are a few hotels like 2.5 miles away that are pretty decent.

Lets just say alot of events are going on, and when that happens in Los Angeles, the freeways just clutter up. If there is one accident, you could expect delays for over an hour. Wow, your place is in Redondo Beach(Really nice), I only go there to fish, but I am not familiar how it is in terms of traffic. I think its safe to say you are ok, just make sure you plan how to get to the sports area .

Well, 2.5 miles from the area would be a good place at least to beat all of traffic, but the area it self...ummm isnt very, how do I say this? safe. More like: .

Im in long beach, in a csulb dorm, so i got the 405 and the 110 freeways to handle when i go to massive. Grr, Imma need to bring plenty of sets to keep busy!

thats what i was worried about the area near the sports arena isnt soo pretty. I mean i rather stay some place that is 5 miles far and it be a safer / nicer area then 2.5 miles far and it be a hell hole.

Any suggestions on what nice area to stay would be great.

Thanks!

Well, if I had the cash, I would stay in the Hyatt in West Hollywood, you would be closer to the friday night TCH and then not too far of a drive from the sports arena. But there are some nice hotels also in downtown LA, again prices not comparable to motel 6. The further you get from the arena, the nicer it gets hehe. Glendale, my home town has alot of places, the Hilton is really nice...again though expect to hit hard traffic. Dj one has a nice spot in redondo beach, yacht club WoW, it matters i guess what you value more in terms of where you want to stay.

I think we have a budget of 400-500 for a total of 5 nights. Not soo bad when you divide this by 2 people.

I think that should get us something pretty decent.

I live in Pasadena/Glendale area. You can drive 20 minutes on the highway to the clubs/MM, or sit in traffic for 20 minutes if you stay in Hollywood. Plus, Pasadena/Glendale will be cheaper. Check it out.

I am from glendale, well only problem your gonna be in merging hell because youll be comming from the 2 or the 5 then onto the 110, but i can confirm, even though glendale has some insane real estate (House sold for 2 million) plenty of less expensive places to stay. Pasadena is really nice, I love old town, you could take the 110 directly and that would save the merger hell, not sure about pricing though in that area.
