Alexander

anybody excited to see this ? i think Alexander The Great has to be the greatest conquerer that ever lived... its written & directed by Oliver Stone who's spent alot of time researching so im thinking the turnout will be worthwhile.. only thing is im not much of a Collin Ferrel fan.. ehh i guess i can deal with it.

Sure. I like movies set in a distant part of history. Attila, Gladiator, Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves, Braveheart, etc...

Ancient History fan as I am, I can't miss this one. I just hope that the movie isn't just a new "theory" of how Alexander conquere dall the way into India...

looks cool. i always like movies with big battles set in midevil times more than war movies with advanced weaponry...

Not likely to watch it. I know there is a tendency to make movies like this one. But this has to stop now.
The cast in this one is not that good. One actor doesn't cut it. Blah blah blah. I think the last sentence pretty much sums up all my sentiments about this movie.

Graham Bell.

I think it's gonna suck just because of the actors, or lack thereof. Just my gut feeling.

will it be better or worse than Troy or the new King ARthur movie?

Posted by |cEbLu3 on Sep-08-2004 09:49:

it better not be as dodgy as Troy. I just hate it when hollywood changes the story to make movies more accesible to certain demographics

exactly! The Illiad is one of humanity's greatest epics, why mess with that?

No. Just the only to respond to it in any way.

As for Alexander (not Graham Bell) I always liked the story but I'm guessing the movie will suck.

2 weeks to go.. i saw the Alexander The Great special on the History Channel last night and it got me excited to watch the movie. i hope Stone and others came thru on this one.

I hope its going to be more like Gladiator and less like King Arthur

Hopefully great battles, realistic characters and lots of blood.
Can't wait for this
