Over 1000 American Terrorists killed in Iraq to date

US military deaths in Iraq pass 1,000

US military deaths in the Iraq campaign passed 1,000 today, as clashes with both Sunni and Shiite insurgents killed seven Americans in the Baghdad area.

The count includes 998 US troops and three civilian contractors killed while working for the Pentagon.

The tally was compiled by the Associated Press based on Pentagon records, AP reporting from Iraq, and reports from soldiers families.

how many iraqis have been killed?

Posted by donegalredneck on Sep-07-2004 21:51:

The most recent estimation I heard was 18,000. But I have no way of verifying that.

and after they're done doing that, they should launch some of those so called "wmd's" over towards Tehran and take out some of that scum.

now lets be serious....

you may dissagree with the invasion into Iraq in the first place,
but with the currect situation,
dont you think that if Iraqis stop showing ressistance, the situation will get better for everyone?
because you know yourself, that as soon the situation calms down, USA would be glad to get 95% of its forces out of there.

because if they FUCK them up their asses like you suggest, Muktada Saadar or whatever will run Iraq as an Fundamentalistic Islamic Regeime... and until it happens tens of thousends of people will be killed and tens of millions will suffer

i Guess stuff like that makes you feel realy happy inside...

Don't you think if the US ends its occupation there will come and end to resisting the occupation?

Yes, but not an end to the violence. In fact the violence will increase, and just as it did in Vietnam after the US pulled out, many, many more people will die.

Oh, and calling the Americans "terrorists" is really stupid.

If another country's national army (or any military outfit) invaded your country, enforced their rules on you and killed thousands of your fellow citizens what would you refer to them as?

Who's stupid now, stupid?

no, there will come anarchy.

look its pretty simple,
USA started all this mess, so it is obligated to stay there
until things are calmed down and some sort of normal goverment takes things under control.

the only other reason that will make USA get out of there is if the Veitnamm story repeats, which means some more tens of thousends of dead people.
thats what the Cyrus King wishes for.

They would be occupiers, not terrorists. I am willing to bet that insurgents have killed way more innocent iraqis than American troops have. They light off a car bomb every day against their own people.

Whatever is happening in Iraq now, wether you were for it or not, is the result of pure ignorance of the composition of Iraq, in terms of culture, society, and religions, as well resistance.. this clearly shows how the extreme of the three occupying religious group will not cease until they get what they want, but reality is.. it will worsten, and all three arrows will, someway or another end up onto the American Soldiers.. Sad as it seems, but that's how it is. We have just caused another terrorist meltingpot ladies and gentlemens..

There is a HUGE difference between terrorists and an occupying force. Use your head a little dip shit.

Good news indeed, the less American Terrorists the better the world will be. I feel sorry for the poor Iraqis that have to fight this occupation.

They should bomb the white house and Washington with all the WMD in the world.

Why fight an occupation that you know has a definite end when you are risking killing your own people? The elections are going to take place next year whether 10000 or 0 Iraqis die by their own hand.

Ok let be realistic here,do you really think the U.S. is gonnna let the Iraqi's have a real election and let them decide who they really want to choose?after spending billions of dollars on this pointless war, you think U.S. will let Iraqis have a Islamic government like the one in Iran?and they just gonna step back and let them take over?

I DOUBT IT.

So therefore there wont be a fair election because the U.S. is deeply involved and they will not have any benifit( like OIL)in return if a Islamic government is in control.

It's nice to see guys so candidly admit your positions are based completely on hate for American instead of pure deep-seated moral posiitions

pathetic

Do you honestly think they want a government like Iran? Perhaps if they look at the societies on earth that have functioning societies they will notice that Iran is not on that list. A self emposed dictatorship isn't really a choice either.

So Iran is not a functioning society?
Iam not surprised tho, thats exactly what your government wants you to think, and they've been very successful doing that.Making you think that Iran is a 3rd word country with islamic extremists written all over it.

Lets just say that Iran like government is what the Iraqi's want, then what? Dont forget that Isreal's security was one of the reasons of this war, Iraq was a threat to them,so they had to get rid of them, but I doubt they gonna let it happen again.

yes. what other countries that we have liberated have we not?

no. the constitution they agreed upon upholds their current soveriegnty. a soveriegnty that will be supported through free elections. no one can change that, but them. SOVERIEGNTY. a wonderful word

of course you do

you have no idea what the hell you are talking about now. the free market will dictate just how diluted your ideas are because i have wasted enough time with your post.

Posted by BadBadNeil on Sep-08-2004 02:12:

Well Iran is a threat to Israel too and we aren't there...

Personally I don't care what government the Iraqi people choose as long as it doesn't affect our country at all. I realize they are a different kind of people, hence why democratic societies aren't as frequent in that part of the world. We know that Iran isn't a 3rd world country, Tehran is one of the largest and most modern cities in the middle east. Functioning was a bad term on my part.

If they choose something that is going to affect world security then I wouldn't expect anyone on earth to accept it however. It's like having Hitler up for president, even if the people wanted him as their leader, there is no way the world would let it happen because we know what would happen.

What do you think the Iranian people would choose if they had a real choice? I have seen many pro democratic Iranian articles.

As far as what the Iraqi people really want, we will just have to wait and see next year. I'm sure we will have plenty to talk about when it happens.

no silly. France thinks that Iran is a 3rd world country full of Islamic extremists. that says quite a bit

then they will put it to a vote. unless a violent minority stages a coup. are you sure that isn't what YOU want?

so what does a disarmed and Democratic Iraq now mean to the people of Israel? the whole region?
