Text messaging...

It's time for another one of my silly polls.

As you guys are well aware, I finally got my cell a few months ago, but have indulged in text messaging. However, I only found out that some cell phone plans actually MAKE you pay for INCOMING text messages. Personally, I think that's fuckin' STUPID. I pay for outgoing but not incoming. So the poll here is, do you pay for incoming text messages?





Reason I'm asking this is I have a VERY bad habit of texting people when 1. I'm drunk 2. I'm pilled up 3. 1 & 2


I don't wanna text people if it costs them money, I'll feel bad. I found that out the hard way with at least 3 people...

i voted yes....but i have a text messaging package...for $3.00 a month extra i get 100 outgoing and incoming, so technically i still pay for them

mine doesnt charge for incoming....... at least i dont think it does lol

Yes I Do.. All messeges are both Incoming/Outgoing ( T-mobile that is )

Not that I know of? I haven't in the past? If I do..... whoooooooooooooooboy my bill is going to be crazy this month!!

Yeah my ex has Verizon.....she pissed me off so I blew her phone up with like 5,000 text messages. Needless to say her bill was really expensive.haha:

most mobile phone providers in Canada don't charge for incoming texts.. i was in Europe this summer and none of the carriers there did either

It doesn't bother me. I receive text messages from various people�especially when people are out partying. I have a lot of TA's that send me text messages. I am mobile on MSN so it�s easy for people to send me text messages (without their phone) and it is free for them. That�s how friends from overseas send them a lot of the time.

Well, "us" provided I get another car or mine fixed, but I don't think this kinda damage can be repaired.

As far as I know, it's free incoming, but you gotta pay for outgoing. I have Sprint PCS.

i think i have free incoming and 10 cents per outgoing. i think its $2.99 for unlimited texts a month, but i'm too lazy to call and get it.

Would I LOVE to have unlimited texts...I'd be whoring all the time.

On the other hand, I won't go with Cingular. I have done so twice before and twice before with disastrous results (ridiculous phone bills, shitty reception and bad customer service. )


AT&T Wireless is the best provider I've ever had, and my little LG G4011 is the best phone I ever had, so I ain't gonna switch anytime soon.

well shit i didn't read it before i voted...remember to read before posting hahah...well i have a plan 100 messages for 3.99 i think but who cares...i love texting..plus i have the greatest phone for it the Nokia 6800...it's the phone that flips out to a qwerty keyboard!

I have the Nokia 3100 (the one that glows in the dark) w/ AT&T. I love them never had any problems with them.

AT&T is Cingular. They are expected to be merging sometime soon. I can't speak for customer service but the reception of Cingular should go up when they are using the same towers.
