How badly do you want it???

Ok so say one day you're at home sitting on the toilet when there's a knock at the door. You finish up and answer it. It's the representitive of a top record company. He is holding a CD-R with your favourite unreleased track, the track youve been looking for for ages but know you cant ever get your hands on, and a pistol.

You have to play one round of Russian Roulette. You must put one bullet into one of the six chambers of the gun, spin the barrel randomly, put it to your head and pull the trigger. If you win, you get to keep the CD-R. If you lose, your brains are all over the front door.

What tune would the record guy be holding and would you (seriously) play a round of Russian Roulette to get that CD-R???

Evil1

thats way toooooo much for me to handle...fuck that!! i wouldnt play!! not worth the risk of losing my life...... no questions asked

Posted by dj_lane on Sep-09-2004 22:48:

i would say, fuck you, and beat that bitch in the head, and take the cd-r

Posted by NiteMer on Sep-09-2004 22:52:

Fuck a CD-R first off. It was vinyl it would be more enticing. Maurino Stephano - Free Time would be the track. I ain't playin' Russian Roulette for shit though. I think option B of shoot the record exec and take it works way better.

I would grab the gun, shoot the guy, take the CDR and bury the guy in the backyard when it's dark. Even if life isn't worth living if you never take risks, Russian roulette is just way too big of a risk to take because of one piece of music.

Very creative question...hmmm...

Any or all of:
1) PvD - Autumn
2) Second Sun - Love Stimulator (PvD Remix) <-- ignore this come november
3) Wolfsheim - Wundervoll (Blank & Jones Remix)
4) PvD - Nothing But You (the REAL original mix - just 'cause)
5) Fischerspooner - Emerge (PvD Remix)
6) Underworld - Born Slippy (PvD Remix)
5) A bunch of other ones I can't think of at the moment

[/vanditwhoremode]

But hell no I wouldn't play russian roulette. Instead, I'd take the gun, hold the bastard at gunpoint, force him to give me the CDR . . . else he gets a bullet in the head.

FUCK THE CD-R,MY LIFE IS WORTH WAY MORE THAN ANY TRACK

Posted by Shamez214 on Sep-09-2004 22:57:

Why not just make a reconstruction of the tune in question? Especially if it's a Paul van Dyk song. His are so easy to reconstruct.

Posted by Minhaj on Sep-09-2004 22:58:

i would say 'sure why not' than when it was my turn i would shot him and take the CD-R

Posted by fLipp on Sep-09-2004 22:59:

I think its more of a hyperthetical question.

similar to

"What tunage are you dying to have right now ?"

That's, particularly, because, although I think I have a great vinyl collection, your's may put me to shame. Someone who doesn't have a lot of rare vinyl might? consider it. They would have to be part insane, but hey.

And PVD - Autumn is a good call. I would love to have that or Lexicon4 - Reach Me on vinyl.

Hell no.

Posted by idoru on Sep-10-2004 00:08:

No way. I'd wait for it to get an eventual release, or just mug the guy as he's on his way back to his car.

Why does the story start off with me on the toilet?

Not the remixes. The reworks and edits can generally be done with one's eyes closed...have done a few reconstructions of those myself. But the remixes . . . you try one.

Uhh,,, Marino Stephano "Free Time" was released on two different labels. Heaven Beats (Belgium) and Fog Area Trance (Germany). Rare record to come acrossed, but I managed to get 2 copies of the original Heaven Beats pressing

I would steal the gun and then go shoot Nite-Mer for being a ballsack.

Posted by Radagast on Sep-10-2004 01:17:

I'd give my left nut for Union Jack - Two Full Moons And A Trout.
