Is it open yet? What's the dealio?

I think Justin Styles just joined their promotional team, I'm thinking he'll be our best source for info

im pretty sure orginalvibe from destiny is in on the whole republik scene as well.

looks like republik could be a good thing for TO

I can't wait to see what happens with it.

apparently, Vertex Sound & Lighting is doing the A/V setup in there.. should definately be worth checking out !

It's going to open in the Fall. Construction is in full swing right now.

Can't wait for REPUBLIK to open Perfect location right in the middle of the district and with PDI and VERTEX being as involved as you could possibly get, you know that the place is going to look and sound great. With DESTINY and TEMPORAL RHYTHM involed as well with REPUBLIK it's obvious that REPUBLIK will have some great dj's coming through as well. Justin is going to make a good manager and Walter has a great vision and I have heard some good things about Dan Park as well so it should be good.

anyways republik is nearing completion from what i hear. I cant wait! Ive seen the specs for the sound and lighting. HOLD ON TIGHT because it's going to be the best set up in the city.

yeah gimme some more details on the club. Sound system, location, style of music etc. I wanna know a little more.

as long as they don't open their doors at 1am like "some" clubs of that nature... start it off early so some of us old geezers can enjoy it for a couple of hours as well.

The hip hop in the small room wont be the typical mainstream BS. It will be a room for the true hip hop fans. Im a hater against hip "pop" as i call it but i really like the real soul hip hop which is what the genre was originally all about.

Having said that, the main room on saturdays is what it's all about for me!

I know that Republik is striving to be not just another nightclub "bar" but a place where music enthusiasts can go and hear good music. Whether its the rock night, a hip hop and soul night or an electronic night it won't be the same old crap thats for sure.

I CANT WAIT!!

Did anyone mention that Republik has booked and conmfirmed some international residents for 2005??

I am very glad to see a new venue opening up in the city that will be bringing in additional talent and an additional option for places to go.

However I fear that with the above format layout - Republik will be entering into an already competative Saturday night marketplace.

Saturday night is already full of options (Guvernment, Boa, Arc) for traditional EDM. It seems as if you've picked the most competative night to launch your EDM night.

Friday - already having limited options for traditional EDM (SystemS) - to me would seem a "less risky" option.

I wish Republik the best of luck and will support it fully. Further I hope going head-to-head with the city's two deepest pockets (Guv + Boa) will work out for your Saturday night plans.

re: shapeshifters...friends of mine saw them in ibiza and said they played an awesome set...think they have a mixed cd out there too...

really interested to see how this will play out...

not sure if toronto can support another afterhours venue...but good luck with it...
