FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Altitude (Red Square Reprise)
Theme from wide angle
Finished Symphony
and Snyper are good

Beachcoma is "ok"

still pretty disappointed by this CD

Posted by trance-ecj on Sep-15-2004 04:18:

Beachcoma was my fav from tha album next to theme from wide angle and finished symphony

Posted by meneedit on Sep-15-2004 04:48:

i have absolutely know idea why but when i first heard the name beachcoma I sort of expected it to be a flawless track with either a depressing sound or just a chillout sound but it turned out to be totally different from my expectations

I was expecting the same thing, actually.

I didn't care for "Sinequanon" on Wide Angle, for example, but there must be some people who like it. Interesting how the rapping is in French.

The album is a double-edged sword because I've heard opinions that it should have been more danceable all the way through, while others like the variety of the downtempo numbers (and this became even more varied on Morning Sci-Fi, although for the life of me I like the B-side "Celebrity Science" a whole lot because it's like a game show -- the Running Man -- gone horribly badong).

Some people wonder, "When will Hybrid make another 'Finished Symphony'" but they went in a very different direction for their 2nd album. For the 3rd, who knows, but they are synonymous with crisp st-st-st-stuttered breaks production as well as the tech-symphonic sound.

Many of my fave tracks of Hybrid's are -- incidentally -- remixes.

Posted by meneedit on Sep-15-2004 05:03:

I suppose the reason that hybrid have let me down is because their vocal stuff is so awful.

i give this album 3 out of 10

Wider Angle is brilliant - a really amazing CD.

It's a shame Hybrid aren't like that anymore

The live version of High Life is a stunning piece of music

If I survive is great.
UF is a masterpiece.
Beachcoma is nice chillout.
Snyper is ok.
Theme... is ok.

And that's it. I was disappointed by this as well.

Posted by meneedit on Sep-15-2004 23:59:

how can u class beachcoma as chillout when

a. It has that stupid fucking wind instrument at the start
b. its got a fast tempo
