So if Madonna and The Beastie Boys say not to vote for Bush, I should believe them. Many people are fickle and will vote based om pop stars. Are there any tours for Bush? It is hard to find a group that is partial to both sides of the election. Why should I wote for Kerry except for going to some concert?

Go stupid lemmings!!!!! uh, I mean Americans!!!!

EDit - I should start Beer Drinkers for Bush and have a constant party for voting for Bush! My address is 1433 University Road next to College Road at Drunk Campus, USA

I can't think for myself! Can I please get a few drugged out, high-school dropout musicians to make up my mind for me and tell me what to do? Can I, can I, can I???

Considering what sources you get your news from, that doesn't sound like much of a stretch.

One of my friends recently commented that Howard Stern will probably have more impact on this upcoming election than any of the candidates themselves.

The sheeple aren't ALL right-wingers, you know.

And what sources are those? I don't recall ever saying anything about my news sources. On the other hand, the auther of this thread cited URB Magazine, an alternative culture magazine that specializes in anything but politics. Care to explain your comments?

Oh wait...the author of this thread was none other than...YOU!

Bwahahahaha

I read just about everything under the sun, politically motivated (skewed) news sources and otherwise. I guess it's just easy for me given that I was reading at the 600 wpm level in the 8th grade.

You on the other hand... it's evident that you stick to the conservative press.

It's almost like it goes hand in hand, me being a Libertarian wanting to know everything about everything, and you being a Conservative Republican only wanting to know the things that enforce your narrow view of this world.

Please correct me if I'm wrong. (I'm sure you will, even if it's simply out of spite)

BTW - URB magazine isn't a source of information for any of my political ideologies. I read URB because I like to stay abreast of the EDM scene. I just thought I would clear that up so that you don't persist with your false presuppositions.

Wow. Did you want a congratulations? Hint: Nobody likes a person who feels the need to brag about how "Smart" they are.

Evident by what? The fact that I hold a more conservative viewpoint? That tells nothing about what I use for a news source, rather it indicates the conclusions that I come up with based on how I use my noggin.

You hardly strike me as a "libertarian", as that would equate you more with me. You don't know me, yet you think you can pigeon hole me as a "conservative republican" based on a few comments that were posted in a thread, based on commentary from a liberal, music magazine? Please...

I'm above spite. This is the Internet. You're just another nameless, faceless person in cyberspace, just like me. It's hard for me to hate someone I've never met.

OK, then you admit that it's hardly a source of political information, so maybe you shouldn't have posted it in the Political/Debate forum!

Cheers.

I've also said that, despite some of Fox's more conservative hosts(Hannity, O'Reilly), they certainly have some reporters/shows that represent the opposite side(Colmes), and they do a great job of at least interviewing people with a lot of different opinions on multiple sides of an issue, and do a good job of asking questions that other networks simply don't have the guts to ask.

I'm not exactly sure about most of them but I know that PvD has said that he's never done drugs. I definitely believe him over G. Dubya!!!

Look where they are in their lives and then take a deep breath and look where you are.

People do look up to successful musicians.

Needless to say, it'll be quite a while before I can afford to take a vacation like that again! Really an amazing place though if you can ever get down there.

I'm letting my URB subscription run out....I subscribed 4 years ago to expand and get enpho the music scene...this last year it has become way to political, and the bashing that goes on in there is the same whining I can listen to on the tele. They assume all their readers are left wingers (I'm a right winger that shoots left handed -- offwing ) and they pretty much stated that in a previous issue. If they would just cover the tunes and the gigs...I'd stay with them...but I won't give my $20 to a music magazine that obviously has a different agenda.

I hate country music...though they play both kinds where I'm from...country and western, but alas...it's what I have to associate with...cuz I'm so evil in the minds of said EDM listener

It's a free country, we're given the right to make such choices. Unfortunately, there are those in our government that would like nothing less than to see our rights taken away.

I don't subscribe to Urb but I do occasionally borrow it from someone that does. I do get their emails though (which usually get caught up in my bulk folder).
