What's even funnier than Ishkur's guide is when mainstream media find it, and use as the basis of serious articles. I remember one classic in the Sydney Morning Herald earlier this year seriously discussing "stupid house" as if it were an actual genre (it isn't, he's referring to Klubbheads/666 style UK hard house, and says as much in the definition).

Ah reading the trance page right now, it's pretty negative, and only has gross generalisations...

But in a way, pretty bloody accurate!

Pity he doesn't at least acknowledge that some good stuff can be found.

But yes, trance in general sucks balls now, and it's quite the shame that good Dj's insist they have to play the latest, upfront tracks. Nothing wrong with old stuff if it's better, we only wanna dance!

No, that's his real name. He was on Trancetribe before as well, been MIA for a year now.
And yes have to agree that Adnan's is one of the better lesser-known Orbital tracks.
