I just had to....

Well, I bought the Technics SL-DZ1200's today to add to my setup (Unfortunately my M3D's don't fit on the table with the other stuff, so they're temporarily disconnected). I have been playing on them and I must say they are awesome. I especially like their mp3 capability. Anyways, I am just excited about my new purchase and had to share.....

Those things are beautiful man!! I was considering on getting one, its either them or the cdj-1000 mk2's. Seems like Armin really likes the SL-DZ1200's over any digital turntable.

Anyway, how much did u get em for?! hehe
and second, can i come over =D!? =P

LOL, if any of you want, you are more than welcome to come try them out. As for the price, I got them at a steal - literally. I took a price I found on the internet (747.77 a piece) and had Guitar Center match it. As I was about to walk out the door, someone from the corporate office called them back to tell them that:
A) the units were being sold under cost and
B) the website it was quoted from was a fraud site
The guy went ahead and let me have them since they were already charged on the credit card, but I guess I made out like a bandit.
The store I got the quote from is apparently a fraud site and there has been a lot of problems with that and the Technics CD players... So, the moral is, watch out if you're buying them online because there are supposedly a lot of places out there just waiting to rip you off.....

I will take a few more pics in the dark to do them justice.

As a side note: They can't handle 320Kbps MP3s (ie: High Quality). I hope they come out with an SD fix that will allow them to play. The highest bitrate I have seen them play without problems is 192... This is kinda stupid, but overall, I am still very happy.

Extremely cool there Dirk. Those feature a built-in sampler too, don't they? I may be thinking of something else...

/me beats off

they have a built in sampler and also accept SD cards which you can store samples, beats, loops etc. I have just started playing with all the features and learning how to use them. I am getting the hang of it and there are several powerful features in them. The effects that they include I don't think are very good though.

Have you used the cdj 1000 mk2's? and if u have, what do you think is better from the 2 of them?

Only at the Guitar Center while I was waiting approval on the price of the Technics.... You know, I think in that case it's just a matter of opinion. I really enjoyed using the CDJ 1000's, but the Technics were set up a little more towards the way it made sense to me. If I had to pick one or the other I couldn't (except for the fact I bought the Technics). On the Pioneer's side, they have a better pitch adjustment. I won't try and back up features on my deck that can't compare. It's a personal preference for me, but the CDJs definitely are a COOL addition to any setup.

One thing I really liked about the Technics over the CDJs was the feel of the platter. The vinyl simulator just made it an easier adjustment going from strictly vinyl to both formats.

They are both great CD players and like I said before, I think it's more personal.

And just as a side note: thanks for all the positive comments. I have really enjoyed these decks and I appreciate everyone's enthusiasm.
