Gouryella and Ferry Corsten

Hi everyone,
I'm doing a cover piece on Ferry for the israeli forum i'm in so i wanted to ask you all for a little help...

I need you to write what really happened between Ferry and Tiesto in the whole Gouryella situation and why did they split up, and is it true that they are planning to work together again and make a new Gouryella track ?

also, it would be nice if you could write some interesting things, stories, myths or whatever about Ferry that i won't usually find in his official website Bio.
i want this to be a cool and interesting cover of him so plz help me if you can

The official word is that Ti�sto left because he was too busy doing other things. Everything else is just hearsay and speculation.

I still think both Ferry and Tiesto had argument. In 2000, Ferry played alot of Tiesto's playlist, with extra trancey kick. I notice tha after 2001 break up, Tiesto made music in different way, he went to the not so trancey side of Electronic Dance Music. Ferry on the other hand made some uplifting Trance tunes and some dirty Electro Techy. I think they were aruged about who was the better producer. If you listen to any Gouryella tunes such as Tenshi, Walhhala, or the remix of 1999. They all sounded like Ferry's production.

How do you make an argument out of that? Sometimes peoples tastes and styles change over years, it doesn't take any arguments for that to happen.

ferry's answer was: we are both too busy for a new gouryella

from my understanding of the situation....they were both too busy and it just wasnt working....

though i'll doubt it i'll find cause this is the best place to get info about anything related to trance...

Ferry might as well do another collaboration with John Ewbank -- after all, they did do "Ligaya" together. I wonder what else they can pull out of the hat together, but it'd likely deviate from the archetypes of "uplifting, melodic" trance they have already created to run a low risk of duplication.

Oh you mean Tiesto had nothing to do with the production of Ligaya ??? this is maybe one of my all-time favorite tracks...

I don't see why people care, sure they created some legendary tracks but most of guess that egos clashed, which happens in music all the time and if they don't want to work with each other for any reason then so be it. Personally they should stay away if they are going to make crap like Ligaya

i don't really care about their egoes or whatever, i just want to know what was the truth behind it for my cover
i don't even like Tiesto...he's so over-rated
IMO Ligaya is a great classic track !
just because it was on mtv, doesn't make it commercial or not good.
"Out Of The Blue" also had a clip for tv, and i can't emagine someone saying this is a crapy tune...

Tiesto did not participate in the studio for the making of Ligaya and this has been explained really elaborately on some previous threads... as well as up here, chalk it up to "new directions" and "being too busy" and "creative differences" and so on and soforth. So yes, it was Ferry and John Ewbank. I do not know offhand who else was involved or if there were any uncredited other talents.

Of course, as a certain Vangelis expert told me, the melody of "Tenshi" comes from "Light & Shadow" off of Vangy's 1492 soundtrack. The harmonic flow is quite similar.

I talked to Ferry a few months ago and asked about the Gouryella album. He said there were plans once (by both Tiesto & him), but they've been postponed indefinitely because they're both too busy. But he also said it wasn't impossible.
