Hey DJ - First upcoming Dj Movie!

Who new something about this "project"?

I have heard that this movie will be shown on ibiza by the dj awards first time to the audience. It will featuring many famous dj, also Tiesto.

Sry for the less informations.. but I really only heard about the two facts above and that's all! But, isn't it interesting!?

Yeah i thought it was awesome too but everyone else seems to think it was crap. The soundtrack was fukn cool though, no doubt.

thats a stoopid movie imo i liked groove, but there really needs to be a move made that outlines the dj world EXACTLY, none of this BS "underground" sh*t

By the way, this isn't the first dj-movie ever made.... In Holland we had one around 1996 called 'Naar de Klote' (translated: 'Waisted')...

Yeah well it does have a kinda Austin powers undercurrent!
But infact the filmmakers did make an effort to tell the story of Underdog and give a little taste of DJ culture... Certainly its not on the scale of a movie like One Perfect Day, but having read alot of the reviews for that movie its quite possible that HEY DJ! Has something entirely different to offer especialy considering that it was filmed in many of the top clubs in Miami and Ibiza while they were OPEN! "Completely Guerilla style" in addition the film features cameos from many top DJ's, so if nothing else many of these guys will have been captured in thier element in a fun and surprising way...

Most importantly HEY DJ is fun, it's about fighting for your dream, its about crazy relationships, it's about romance, redemption and it's about Music.

Anyway Give it a chance guys and girls, coz we're still sweating blood just to finish it up and make it available....

I think I'll take a peek when it's released here. But as I said earlier.... The movie comes over to me as a cliche of how everybody thinks a dj lives his life. But well, what can I say....I should first see it and than judge it further.

Yes you're right it does deal with the Cliche's a little, but the girls dont throw themselves at him coz he's a DJ...Infact He's a terrible DJ to begin with so, that is not the attraction for them also
this character evolves and changes... The movie was made over a 2 year period and we kept re-working the story to make it fulfilling, kept adding more so that it could pay tribute to the DJ Culture...

At the end of the day it's light. Its not plot driven, it's character driven and all of the club and DJ content is authentic, COZ we captured it while it was really happening...

So thanks again, keep your eyes open and Post here if u wanna complain about it once you've seen it.... The filmmakers will be watching and appreceate criticism

Lastly these are not the final websites or trailers or soundtrack, we are still working on all these elements at the moment.

We hope to deliver a movie you can treasure.

hehe who gives a fuck what everyone else thinks.. i thought it was great... although i guess it throws a bad public image on the scene itself.. with a perspective of drug use being so violent..
