[New Release][Ethnic Breakbeat] Landscape Love Vol.1

Composing/Arranging/Programming/Mixing : Meng Qi(Anotherbbs)

A not-too-hard breakbeat song @ 144 BPM .
Filled with a refreshing mood , with loads of traditional chinese elements .
The mood focus on " chinese landscape " , it is sooooo beautiful ......
This song has 3 kinds of breaks , amen , firefight and apache .

Invisible Grin

Nice track, your beat seems pro, your "ethnic" elements like the flute and the keyboard are very good, your Fx are pleasant too...
Your mastering can be improve, you might adjust thr main synth level, because it's a bit noise when the beat comes...
Go ahead !

Thanks for comments and pleasure that you like this track !

When you say "a bit noise" do you mean when the amen break comes in , the sound seems a little overdrive ?
I did use overdrive on that amen sound

Maybe it will sound better if the theme chord is a little lower in volume ?

i really love that flute. it tends to clash with some of the other elements though.. and i don't think that supersaw fits in very well, it feels like two tracks mixed together.

breakbeats are cool, although you're repeating the loop over and over again. there is some distortion on the kick, makes it sound kind of ugly..

and i also feel it's missing a bassline, you're track sounded empty in the low range.

conclusion: not the usual drivel, which is a good thing, but it could definitely use some improvements.

Thanks , useful ideas for me

I will reconsider some of the electronic elements in this song .

Still finding a way to let the electronic thing fits chinese elements ...

nahhh man, that distortion on the kick makes it sound dirty... i love it

gives it a very grungy drum and bass feel to it.

like the the others, the flute is very nice feel to it, and the saw doesn't fit well into the mix

and it would be nice to hear a variation in the breakbeats like every 8th bar or something... if it's a wave loop, chop that up and mess around with it. I think it's better to stick with one set of drums per song tho

what did you use for that flute??

For the chopping loops ... I really did it , but my chopper did the wrong work with the apache break . so Only amen and firefight has some variation .

a instrument called "Di Zi" .
It is a chinese instrument .
I used a soundfont sample patch of that .

i love the beat, not keen on the rest tho im affraid.... and the beat sounds like its a loop not programmed. in fact im almost sure it is. also beat is too quiet. not keen on the rest at all im afraid, lacks bass to imo.

edit... the beat is DEFINATELY a loop... the second beat that starts is out of time. sorry man. u cant use all those loops and expect to get away with it :P

there are 3 breaks and I chopped 2 of them . only the last one (apache) is not chopped up cause of some chopper mistakes .

and I really did some slight re-arrangement with amen , and some more with firefight (check out from 2:46) .

I havn't focus on beat programming in this song . If you love complex beats check out this one by me :

hope ya like it

thx
