I'm sure you all can recognize that quote from the classic Solar Stone song "Solarcoaster"...

Well last night I was watching a movie called "True Romance" which was written by Quentin Tarantino and directed by Tony Scott (Top Gun). It was made back in 1993 and starred a very famous cast: Christian Slater, Patricia Arquette, Gary Oldman, Dennis Hopper, Christopher Walken, Brad Pitt, and Val Kilmer. Anyway the movie is about 2 lovers running off with 5 million $ of Mob Cocaine, and everyone from the cops to the mob is after them...

The last scene of the movie Patricia Arquette is on the beach and has an internal monologue in which she says, "I look back and I'm amazed that my thoughts are so clear and true. That three words ran through my mind endlessly, repeating themselves like a broken record: 'You're so cool, you're so cool, you're so cool'..."

I thought to myself "WHOA!!! SO THAT'S WHERE THE SAMPLE CAME FROM!" This kinda thing has happened several times while I was watching other movies. Anyway...

Has anyone else stumbled accidently on movie dialouge that makes an appearance in an EDM song???

Yeah, man oh man, that's a great story.

I always smile like crazy hearing a heavily distorted sample from The Matrix or one of its sequels... there are so many of those out there. Or anything from Hellraiser -- that's one of the most-sampled films. Although that's mainly for "industrial" and not so much for "trance". Although it would be funny to have more "horror trance".

i remember hearing a song a couple years ago that had the 'speech' the Cheech Marin gives in From Dusk til Dawn, it went something like "we got white pussy, yellow pussy...etc" it was pretty funny to hear it.

LOL, one of the better vampire movies I've seen. Ah, the comedic genius of Cheech & Chong... which track was this?

i think the song is DJ Balloon - Pussylovers. its on a mix cd that i got from a local dj a few years ago.

i also remember this tune and have it on a cd which i purchased back in 2000 entitled: Tripping On E at Sound Factory 2000

oh, and True Romance is a wicked movie...seen it a few times.

that narration also came out before in 1997 on a record called
hot dog and cool cat - ill house you which is on tunnel records.
