Check out Steve Lawler's We Love Ibiza Mix, it's ten times better in my opinion.

Posted by ejoupa on Sep-14-2004 11:35:

hmmm..will check it out..

Above & Beyond Remix of this track is much better then the one of Delerium - Silence, ... that's a freakin' fact

I disagree entirely. Just goes to show that everyone has unique taste.

I, for one, think that Above & Beyond did a bang-up job remixing this one. It's definitely better than the Filterheadz mix. (Which was a big disappointment to me, because I love Filterheadz tracks, usually.)

Love this track! Above & Beyond did a great job as always!

This one is to be released this week with mixes by Above & Beyond & Filterheadz. Cant wait to have a listen on that one.

I so strongly concur to that. Steve Lawler's Mix gets my feet moving everytime I hear it. It's a tad bit longer than I'd like it to be, so it gets half a point shy from getting a perfect rating from me. 9.5/10

As for the UV Mix, guess I need to listen to this a couple more times for it to grow on me. I like the proggish beat, but nothing to make me really go gaga for.

Filterheadz remix owns

i think a&b have done better, but Dido's voice and lyrics make it worthwhile for me on this one

7.0/10

Steve Lawler makes A&B looks like amateurs (in terms of sheer originality)

I got the vinyl yesterday in the mail.

The above and beyond rmx is awesome!!!!

Will be seeing rotation

8.5/10

indeed its very good, top tune in all imo. both remixes and non remixes

The Steve Lawler mix has that nice guitar rift in the middle, but that's about all I like about it.

The Above & Beyond mix stays with the original more closely; It's nice, but not revolutionary.

Probably be the only one to say this, but I still like the original the best.

Unoriginal doesn't even come close. The synth line here sounds ridiculously like Firewall - Sincere. I mean like exactly the same!?

I heard the Filterheadz Remix today and what a massive remix that is! I lost some faith in Filterheadz after the dreadfull remixes of Faithless - I Want More and Eric Prydz - Call On Me but this one is really well taken care of!

Above & Beyond UV Remix ... 7.5/10
Filterheadz Remix ... 8.5/10

ps. Where can I listen to a sample of Steve Lawlers Remix?

Revised my rating

hmmm...i think that above & beyond pulled out some quality tunes n remixes this year...normally i wud never pick up their vinyls as they had no quality with the occasional 'ok' tune...but this yr they really impressed me...i cant wait for tranquility base - surrender which imo is a gr8 tune...

Yeah, but it's got Dido vocals!

I like the A&B mix, but the Steve Lawler mix takes my vote!

Posted by varun on Sep-16-2004 22:34:

This is top tunage!!!!!!!!
This remix is fucking insane!!!!!
That breakdown!!!
This is wayyyyy better than what they did with Silence.
9/10

Ok, I've given A&B's mix a few more listens and now I can say that this mix has grown on me. It still doesn't beat the Steve Lawler Mix but I could definitely get into this now. If Above and Beyond drop this song at Popsicle 6 next month (Which I'm sure they will) I'm gonna go crazy.

8/10
