The birth control pill revolutionised women's health - and grew to become one of the most popular forms of family planning. But it is now under attack from pro-life groups in the US.

Well it really is the logical conclusion that must be taken by the pro-life fundamentalists. They also must throw in condoms, diaphrams (sp?), or any other contraceptive OTC device. In a sense I almost want to applaud the pro-life fundies for actually stepping forward and justifying their logical conclusions here.

But I have sincere doubts it will go very far into mainstream coverage and debates.

I'm constantly amused by the opposition to birth control by relgious groups ... particularly when you take into account their tacit support for a more sinister form of birth control not half a century ago.

Ahhh religious groups ... I can always count on them for a few laughs.
