(Trance) .A.Y. - Getting Wild (128kbps)
dont be afraid from the name, its not hardstyle or something like this heh
in the full version i'll add a vocal to the track
(as allways, this is the short version
)

"Getting Wild (short version)" 04:21
hope you like it
thank you for your comments
swap you bizzatch =)
(link in sig)
very boucy start - very clean and dry and centarl in the stereo fiels
I'd add a delay to the hats to get it out a little more
all your sampled effect bring out the field nicely, but when they go, we are left with something very mono - use a few effect sparingly on your percs.
this track is ok, but needs production work, as the details really aren't there - there is a splattering of effect samples, but it needs to have more depth to be trance imho
could look at using some less conventional percs and hats
structurally - it kinda just stays on g and f sharp all the way through - which makes it kinda boring.
needs work =)
addition - it gets a lot better after 5:00 - for some reason, my winamp playbar is right over at the end at 5, leaving me thinking it was over!!
but the real problem is it takes 5 mins to get too!!!
5 mins - thats allowing a little too much for a beatmix in my humble =)
NEEDS MAJOR STRUCTURE WORK!!!
listening.
FINALLY YOU CHANGE THE BASS YOU EVIL MAN.
haha i thought i was gonna have to be like "it would be good if you introduce some changes in the bass note". but apparently at 2:57 the song improves by 1000%. if i were you, then i would introduce one of the notes of the bass ahead of time before the break so it's not a total shock, but i can kinda tell you want it to be all sudden like that (maybe it makes it better when it finally does happen).
2:14 when the arp lead comes right in after it breaks that's hot
2:57 the chord / bass changes are great
3:23 that new little filtered smooth synth is really nice and adds a lot to it
3:50 the drop thing is cool, but it gets really simple really fast, but i guess that's why it's teh short version
anyway, it reminds me of an olderschool trance with a big ass lead kinda very anthemic i guess, but i could be wrong!
optik: 5 minutes?! are you sure you have downloaded the right track?
please check it again
extalin: lol
the whole idea of the track is to let you wait until the "big" change is coming
it gives the track a little clubby atmosphere
and now i can say:
thank you for your comments!
ahhh- I see what was going on - I skipped forward in the track, and it started again for some reason, but didn't reset the time!!!
scratch the comments re- progression/structure - it gets going nicely at 2:57!!!
sorry about that =)
- tis strange the way it screws up the time in winamp...
=)
I feel like I heared every sample in that song a thousand times before.

cheesy?
well, i'll try to fix what i can
thanks!
I agree on the cheese factor... At 11:30 in im just waiting for some stupid female vocals that go "and i will love you till i die on the bridge of love" or something of that crappy nature...
Im waiting till this gets better becuase it could.... come on any second now...Bass line is a bit.. dumn dumn dumn... :S I mean its a bit.. well lacking in variation and for me kick.. but i like my bass lines dirty as fuck.
Yeah the cheese is smelling a bit too much for me now (3:20 mins)
Not really to my liking sorry man.. but production wise its quite good.. different approach.. nice to see a different layout for a change.
Nice tune mate, you pulled off the main melody brilliantly, there are a great number of pieces that fit oh-so-nicely together, and the whole thing has the kind of drive and energy that makes this style of trance work so well! I like it!
thanks!
wow, that's a fast arpeggio you've made there! But at 02.57 the whole track lost it's tension, in a bad way. The bass-changes could have been different. I mean, other notes. Because I didn't hear the harmony...
