Trouble at Stadio Olimpico
Just seen pictures at halftime and after sending Mexes off after play ended for halftime, Frisk of Sweden got hit in the face with a coin we think... bleeding quite a bit too, wil ladd more as i see it
I'm actually quite embarrassed to be italian after watching that.
How can such a beatiful city be home to so many scummy people.
match has been abandoned, I don't think uefa will do too much tho, i cant see it anyway, I suspect a 3-0 win to be awarded to kiev and maybe fine/points deduction for roma
On a plus note note, buffon is the best keeper in the world.
thats fucked up.....leave the ref alone..u sick ******s!!!! damn ppl!!!! its just a fucken game....its shit like this that makes sports look bad....!!!!

| Referee struck at Roma Roma's Champions League match against Dynamo Kiev was abandoned at half-time after referee Anders Frisk was struck by an object thrown from the crowd. ![]() The incident happened as Frisk walked off at the interval and left the Swede with blood dripping from his head. Just after blowing for half-time with Kiev leading 1-0, Frisk had sent off Roma defender Philippe Mexes after he petulantly kicked Maris Verpakovskis. "We deplore what has happened," said Uefa spokesman William Gaillard. The Uefa spokesman added: "We will wait for the match delegate's report as well as the referee's own report of the incident. "This is the first time in many years that a European match has been stopped for such an incident - sometimes there have been electrical failures with floodlights of course, but this is something far worse." It is not the first time Roma have been in trouble. Two years ago Roma and Turkish side Galatasaray were involved in a mass brawl involving players, officials and riot police at the end of a Champions League game in Rome. Frisk also refereed that game. After Roma appealed, Uefa reduced some of the punishments it handed out to the Italian club. Roma captain Francesco Totti had his suspension reduced from three matches to two, while Brazilian midfielder Francisco Lima's three-match ban was cut to one. Uefa also withdrew its decision to ban Roma from the Olympic stadium for one match, instead fining the Italian club 221,000. Last season Roma and Lazio fans also clashed with police outside the Olympic Stadium after the city derby was suspended by a false rumour that a child had been killed by a police car. |

| Originally posted by evil_bastard This is bang out of order but I'm not holding my breath on UEFA taking any serious action. This sort of thing happens a lot in places like Italy and UEFA usually turn a blind eye or just give the club a slap on the wrist. Maybe the fact that it has happened on the international stage will put UEFA under the microscope and force them to act, but it hasn't in the past. |
how can a fan be that accurate? Isn't the pitch far away from the stands at the Olimpico?
Anyways Roma have had other incidences in the past like the brawl against Galatasaray in the same competition two seasons ago. They need a harsh punishment.

Fucking shit Italian stadiums...
Match got abandoned at HT (Roma 0-1 Dynamo). My big bet on Dynamo got void too
Very bad incident if you ask me, Anders Frisk is sound, brilliant referee!
It was a bloody good shot, they also caught a guy on camera lobbing a lighter in Frisk's direction too.
^^^^ sick sick fans i tell u.....like if i saw a person do that i would start a giant stadium brawl!!! LOL
fuckin roma
i hate that team with passion
this week-end cassano got sent-off for slapping a player
^^^ HOLY FUCK!!!! i havent talked to Fastmp3 in AGES!!!! damn!!!! been a long time!!!
Yeah thats a shame. You could see the guy throwing the lighter(?) when Mexes got sent off (for having a kick at a player he had already tripped). They showed the jerk on italian tv, so he's going to get punished at least. I think Frisk is an asshole but thats beside the point. Things like this ruin the game.
Havent we forgotten last years match between Roma & Lazio. That was an ugly match too. Roma fans are stupid and UEFA should make Roma play their home matches in an empty stadium how brilliant would that be!
It was a despicable act.

shit stupid italians :P im not generalizing!
anyone got more pics?
